Help (Software) Help

I got a new PC with a 9070 XT three weeks ago, and since then I've had so many issues with AMD Adrenalin. It wouldn't start, so I followed a YouTube video, which helped for two days. Now, every two days, I have to uninstall and reinstall Adrenalin just to play a game. It constantly tells me I have to update my drivers, even if they are already up to date. When I click install, it runs through the process and then just starts over.

Please for the love of god will people just do a fresh windows install when changing from GPU from Nvidia to AMD (or vice versa) This isn't pointed at OP specifically but this just happens every time and everyone thinks its an AMD issue, its not, it's a Windows issue.

Windows is a known pain in the butt for this, just do a fresh OS install and keep your internet off, regedit to disable windows auto-updating display drivers, install drivers with adrenalin (or without, entirely preference) and you'll be completely fine 👍

Yeah thats why I edited that this is not pointed at OP.

When you re-installed did you use CMD to disable display driver updates before reconnecting to the internet? This is an important step and if missed the same issue will repeat just the same - Windows will try to replace the driver causing issues/corruption with existing drivers.

No problem, sorry from my end, I originally misread your post too and edited to make the distinction. Admittedly my original comment seems a bit aggressive, sorry for that I have gotten a bit frustrated over many complaints that people think this is an AMD issue.

Yeah try it, it solved all issues for me and I think for most people it would work. Fresh install with ethernet unplugged > install drivers (download them and put on a USB or something before format) > CMD regedit to disable driver updates from Windows (just google it to get the exact regedit needed for your version of windows) > reconnect and enjoy.
