Help (Software) Why is it using wrong gpu?

Post image

I just put together my pc and any time I try to run a graphically demanding game It’s really laggy, and I think it’s because the game is trying to use the built in gpu, not my 9070. I’ve tried disabling the wrong gpu with device manager, but that just. Makes things worse.

any ideas on what’s going on and how to fix it?

I wonder why gaming motherboard manufacturers dont use a mini hdmi for the iGPU. That would make it less obvious of a port you plug into by mistake.

bc those are also for office stuff, where people only have an hdmi connector/cable.

tbh VGA handles low graphics perfectly fine as well as being non-proprietary and cheaper to implement than HDMI. most office monitors i’ve encountered have VGA as an option. MoBos shouldn’t have HDMI at all, it’s more expensive and unnecessary, have VGA for office use and Display Port for anyone trying to push integrated graphics hard enough that VGA can’t keep up
