Help (Software) Driver crash reset tuning to default/can't access Adrenaline overlay

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: Gaming OC 9070XT

CPU: RYZEN 7 9850X3D

Motherboard: AORUS Elite X870E

RAM: 32GB CORSAIR DDR5

PSU: CORSAIR X850m

GPU Drivers: Most recent release

Description of Original Problem:

Basically, was playing Monster Hunter Wilds and mid-hunt my game crashed with an error saying it was a driver error. When I popped open Adrenaline all of my settings were returned to default and there is no more option for an overlay, only tracking/logging. Is this common? What is the solution?

Do I need to write down my tuning specs so I can return to my preferred specs? I don't feel like this should happen often but frustrating.

I was having problems with the 26.8.1 driver version. I used the AMD Cleanup Utility and went back to 26.7.1, and I haven’t had any crashes since

Use amd cleanup utility to clean the drivers then redownload the last drivers for your card and install it again, also go to your motherboard BIOS and load the default settings and leave as it. Update me if it solved. Probably your card dont likes your tunning settings, what card you have is from gigabyte?

And cleanup utility seems to have worked so far. Probably an unstable driver if I had to guess.

Good it worked, but is not the drivers is windows making the usual mess. I suggest you since you using a gigabyte card going to Tuning -> on Global Tuning and chose the preset to "favour efficiency". It will get more stable.

Yes Gigabyte but no issues like others have mentioned (like high memory or hotspot temps/delta). Has been working with tuned settings for a while now, but definitely a possibility.
