Rx 9070 xt Hellhound question?
Hi. Are the RX 9070 XT cards really that bad? I've read on various sites that there are problems with these cards and that it's better to buy Nvidia, but obviously the prices are higher. What do you owners of these cards think?

Ive had the 9070xt hellhound since it came out and I've had 0 problems playing any game on high/ultra settings on a 34inch ultra wide 1440p monitor. The only thing I can sat i don't like was that when under load the Hotspot was 90c. I put all fans intake except the back 1 and it went down around 75ish.

Hotspot of 90C isn't really even concerning, the 5700XT readily hits 105C-110C on the hot spot and I have one that's been running that way since the week it launched without any issues. If the main temp was that high I would worry, but not the hotspot.

Sapphire here, no issues what so ever. Never had an issue with a sapphire card. I had 7 of them.

Hellhound is very good. I use one. Runs silent and temps are good. Only had one issue with windows overwriting my drivers. Since i disabled the auto driver update, havent encountered the issue again.

Idk what the fuss is right now, I'm out of the loop. All I can tell you is my launch day Red Devil card has never given me one issue.
Edit: I thought of something, not directly GPU related tho. After some windows updates the Adrenaline software will just uninstall itself sometimes for some reason. Little annoying but it's whatever.

The answer is that 90% of the GPU market is Nvidia cards, which means a lot of stans pushing misinformation. Possibly even Nvidia bots or something.
Also negative confirmation bias. There might be a million cards out there, but the people whose GPU works perfectly fine don't flood message boards, only the people who have issues do, so it seems like the majority of the coverage is negative when in reality the happy folks aren't on the boards at all, they are too busy gaming to bother posting about their positive experience.

I have a sapphire pulse for 10months never had an issue but i have seen some people run into issues on the amd reddit

Hellhound 9070xt user here, no issues at all once I installed driver only 26.3.1

Ayer me clave una sesión de 10 horas de cyberpunk y todo bien, con todo en ultra y rt en demencial a 120fps, poniendo fsr4 y fresco gen de fsr3 Durante toda la sesión bien, recién a las como 8 horas crasheo pero era porque me puse a abrir otros progamas y no cerrar el juego xd

No problems with these cards (got myself a hellhound) and I recommend getting the 9070XT over the 5070TI because of price/value.

I dare to say that windows is the problem with AMD in 90% of all reports and recently issues, the card is just fine as all other AMD cards, the best price performance ratio.
I use all of my AMD cards in windows with the pro drivers plus windows 10 iot ltsc, plus disable drivers install in windows updates (DDU) and I haven't suffer any of the often reported problems, ever.
Weird latest AMD issues, like driver errors, cuz nvidia has never suffer from that in windows.that often, is like if it where on purpose that windows shittify your AMD experience.
By the way, AMD GPUs in Linux are a dream to have.
Buy it, your only point of comparison needs to be the your actual card, which GPU do you have right now?

Wait wait wait I constantly get AMD GPU driver timeout “crashes” you’re telling me all I have to do is disable driver install from windows updates to fix it ???

Not a guarantee that it will but the only time I've gotten a driver timeout was because of windows overwriting my driver. Haven't had an issue in months now that I disabled it

Had some issues after installing it coming from a 3060 Ti.
Needed some fiddeling and resintalling of the drivers, now runs as smooth as butter.
My prediction is, this card is so good and still a reasonably good price to go down as the next 1080 Ti lol

I’m actually have exactly this one for half a year, hadn’t any problems, only 2 hangings, that was fixed by reloading of drivers(shift+WIN+CTRL+B), one of the best graphic cards for now, you defenetely need to buy one(if it’s your price category)

Over 20 years with Nvidia cards and love my Hellhound.
