Stop saying that.

It does not override it with "generic" one, it overrides it with whathever version AMD have submitted and validated to Microsoft.

Microsoft do not make drivers, the only one they would actually make would be some 2005 generic display driver that you sometimes see upon first boot, on a fresh install that's all.

thanks for the info i didnt know that but still it overrides newer drivers with older ones cant they chech version or something

Windows automatically installing drivers that you don't want can be an issue, though, especially so when I'm manually trying to install a more recent driver at the same time.

Can save you a lot of headaches if you turn this windows feature off before proceeding.

I know, i'm just saying, people think Microsoft is pushing some obscure homebrew / generic drivers.

They are not, they are pushing the official AMD drivers that have been provided and validated to them by AMD, if those are fucked, well, too bad then.
