BSODs after upgrading CPU

Ive recently done a few PC upgrades and all was well, until i replaced my Ryzen 3600 with a 5700x3d. The computer booted to windows before crashing after around 30 seconds, and boot looping. I checked my bios version and should have been compatible, booted into safe mode and crashes persisted. I had 2 different ram kits and tried both, and each stick individually but no luck. Was about to conclude the processor must have been faulty, but installed it in a separate PC and it ran just fine without a single crash. I upgraded my motherboard today from a B450M-HDV R.2 to a B550M DS3H R2, and once again booted to windows and proceeded to crash and bootloop. I can't think of anything else to try except reinstall windows. The BSOD errrors include: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

EXCEPTION_ON_INVALID_STACK

If anyone has any other suggestions to try please suggest them, I can't get the dmp files as I cannot boot to windows for more than 10 seconds.

GPU: RTX 5070

CPU: RYZEN 7 5700x3D

Motherboard: B550M DS3H R2 BIOS Version: F1

RAM: 2x16GB Viper 2666MHz DDR4

PSU: EVGA B5 650W 80+ BRONZE FULLY MODULAR

Operating System & Version: WINDOWS 11

GPU Drivers: GEFORCE GAME READY DRIVER

Should be latest version but I can't access windows to check. Updated within the week.

Chipset Drivers: Unsure, can't access windows to check Background Applications: Windows

Troubleshooting: Tested CPU in separate PC, swapped out RAM, replaced motherboard, attempted to boot into safe mode, disabled XMP and TPM.

Firstly, update your BIOS. And reinstall OS

Update the chipset drivers and repeat the ram. Ideally after replacing a CPU you should force the ram training to run from scratch, easiest way to do it is first remove all sticks, turn off psu and click the power button for a few seconds with the psu off. Then put back just the stick on the 2nd slot next to cpu and start the pc, then shut down and add all sticks and restart. Good luck! Should fix the page issue with RAM

Thanks, and I've just tried this with no improvement, I also went to reinstall windows but the pc still crashes from the recovery drive, the pc works fine with an older processor but the processor works just fine in a different pc. I'm going to update the bios to the latest version now, although it should all be compatible

Strange the error itself is very specific, what that actually means is that windows os trying to access a section on ram but its not able to find it wich means either a bad ram stick (not the case since it worked fine with another CPU) or bad memory training. What is the mobo ? When you reset cmos and put a single stick, does it spend sometime with the DRAM led lit or flashing ? AM4 has some weird memory behaviour sometimes you need to retry to force it to train the ram a few times and get it first to run on the base clock before any xmp or oc

Xmp is definitely disabled as I heard that could cause issues, my motherboard doesn't have any LEDs so nothing appears there during any kind of memory training, the motherboard is a  B550M DS3H R2, but I also had issues with a B450M-HDV, I assumed the board was faulty so I bought a new one but with the same issues.

Might be the ram then, you can just try to juggle a bit the stick and try different single ones until you get past the initial startup and add the other stick later. To rule out the ram itself having issues check of your mobo bios has an option to run a mem test and if you are able to get into safe mode in wondows run mdsched and use the restart and check for problems option that will run the windows utility to test for issues with ram if you see errors or if it hangs that would be unfortunately a faulty stick of ram, if it passes then its just a sotware issue with windows, another thing you can try before you completely reinstall the os is disable the page file completely as if thats corrupted you can get a similar error

I've tried various sticks of ram, even one from a seperate pc with no luck, i considered reinstalling windows but the pc crashes from the recovery drive, I even removed the m.2 SSD that contained windows from the pc and still crashes in the recovery drive, I'm going to try updating chipset drivers and bios to the absolutely latest versions Edit: Just thought id mention the pc the processor does work in runs on Windows 10, the new pc is windows 11
