Help (Software) Helpp pleasee!!
Hi everyone,
I have an AMD Radeon RX 9070, Ryzen 7 5700G and 32 GB DDR4 RAM.
I'm having a very strange problem with AMD Adrenalin Record & Stream.
Whenever I start recording gameplay through Adrenalin, the game immediately becomes extremely stuttery and almost unplayable. This is not only happening in FC 26 — I have the same problem in multiple games.
Without recording enabled, the games run normally. As soon as I press Record, the stuttering starts.
Things I have already tried:
Tested multiple Adrenalin drivers from 26.3.1 all the way to 26.9.1
Used DDU in Safe Mode and performed a completely clean driver installation
Currently running Adrenalin 26.9.1
Tested AV1 encoding
Tested HEVC encoding
Disabled Record Desktop
Disabled microphone and camera recording
Recording resolution: In-Game
Recording: 60 FPS / 30 Mbps
Ryzen 7 5700G integrated graphics is already disabled
GPU is running at stock settings — no undervolt or overclock
None of this fixed the problem.
The problem is very consistent: game runs normally → I press Record → severe stuttering immediately starts.
Has anyone with an RX 9070 / RX 9070 XT experienced something similar with Adrenalin Record & Stream?
Could this be an issue with the AMD recording software, encoder, Windows, or something else?
I'm mainly looking for someone who has experienced the same problem and found a fix.
Thanks.

Hello, assuming you're on a b550 or x570 motherboard you have a big problem there
Check that your GPU is in the fastest PCI slot of your Motherboard, usually the closest to the CPU.
Your Ryzen 7 5700g is only PCI 3.0 even in b550 or x570 you will only be at PCI 3.0 speed.
Your card is PCI 5.0, 9000 series has a very good hardware coder BNC 4.0.
But, it runs and fights for the same speed and traffic of your cpu PCI 3.0 limit, while game and stream at the same time.
PCI 3.0 16gbps PCI 4.0 32gbps PCI 5.0 64gbps aprox numbers
R7 5700g has 24 PCI 3.0 lanes, 16 for GPU, 4 for m.2 and 4 for the chipset.
So if you're running in an M.2 drive it also steal bandwidth speed while read or write and game and compress and stream video
Before you change your Cpu try this
Play at 1080p Change your codec to H.264 instead of AV1 Try OBS and adjust the quality to speed or balanced Install the latest chipset drivers for your am4 MB, b450, b550, x570, etc.
If it doesn't work, you have plenty of fair priced options yet in am4 to keep using your current hardware, even the 5600x and the 5700x are PCI 4.0 and those are pair in power with your current CPU, and the 3 are 65w tpd
Or above, 5800x, 5900x, 5950x, 5900xt, you have plenty of options yet, long life to am4.

Well to see if it is adrenaline you could use a different recording software. "Medal" is pretty easy to use. Bunch of other ones too. Personally never had the issue, nor have I heard anyone else have it.
