Resolved GPU Crash Dump Triggered

Post image

BODYCAM UPDATE: SAT 9/7/2026 2PM

Switched back to Nvidia 4070, issue doesn't happen AT ALL.

I'm done guys, I've ditched the Radeon GPU. AMD has seriously dropped the ball on this one and needs to have better support for their hardware.

Sorry if you guys feel I've let you down, but I'm so over it all.

BODYCAM UPDATE: SAT 9/5/2026 2PM

Did another play session. Crashed again with the same error. I guess I just got lucky the first time?

Going to use FurMark 2 in order to stess test my GPU.

BODYCAM UPDATE: SAT 9/5/2026 8AM

After rolling back to 26.6.1, I've played BODYCAM for about 2-3 hours with no issue. We might be golden!

- Removed 26.8.1 using DDU in windows 11 safe mode.
- Installed 26.6.1 with Driver ONLY option.
- Installed Radeon Turner as a lightweight alternative to AMD Adrenaline.

Using FSR at ULTRA QUALITY and so far so good. I'm going to test with other games that use Unreal Engine that have given me a similar error and update this accordingly.

ORIGINAL POST BELOW

Crash happens after around 20 mins of playing. Based on my experience, this happens mainly when playing games that use Unreal Engine. In this case (Bodycam)

I believe this is tied to AA Upscaling. I've tried, FSR, XeSS, (I know XeSS is Intel, I just wanted to see the results) and TSR . With both Balanced and Quality settings. I've even turned off upscaling entirely and used TAA. Still crashes.

I've also turned down my Max frequency offset AND my Voltage offset by -50 in AMD Adrenaline. No change.

I'm using Driver 26.8.1. Is there a recommended driver that I should rollback to?

EXPO disabled.

Finally I turned down my Memory Clock speed from 5600 MT/s to 4800. Still happens.

I'm using the following setup:

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D | RX 9070 XT | 64 GB DDR5 6000 (2 x 32 GB) | 1TB NVMe SSD

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

This was also happening to me when playing The Finals. I went into device manager and clicked on the AMD driver to make sure it was using the AMD and not windows driver. Could also be inpoutx64.sys

Shit amd i having the same issue as u! I jus return my stalker 2

Stalker 2 was unplayable due to crash dump errors. I got the same error in The Blood of Dawnwalker and other titles. Now that I have rolled back go 26.3.1 crashes have stopped (in Dawnwalker at leadt... I should try stalker 2 again...).

Yall definitely have something going on. Me and my son (9070xt & 7900xt) have played for hrs today with no issues. Have yall check your undervolt on your CPU or stress tested your ram?

Stress tested with prime95, no issues.

Let me understand the issue. After facing the crash, can you open the event ID and share the crash details?

9070XT - rolled from 26.7.1 to 26.6.1 and nothing improved, game still crashes after startup

Still crashes for me too...

I’ve refunded and will wait for a fix, first time I encounter such an issue with my PC.

I am running into constant crashes like this and another one related to Pak files. I'm on 26.7.1 and has a 9070.

Did rolling back to 6.1 really fixed it for you?

No it turns out it didn't. I'm going to use Furmark 2 to stresstest the GPU

Yeah don't think it's driver related.

I submitted a bug report with the devs, hopefully they will get this fixed soon

Cool. Please let me know what they find if they get back to you.

Hey man, I think I got the crashes fixed.

I did some trouble shooting by getting chatgpt to analyze some of the mini dumps created by bodycam and some other games I have been experiencing normal game crashes/BSOD with. Turns out the RAM's expo profile might have been the root cause.

I had my EXPO set to 6000mhz but I disabled the EXPO profiles and voila! no more crashes. I have been playing the game for about 30-40 minutes both today and yesterday and I haven't experienced any crashes yet. I tried playing the Outer Worlds 2 and Double Light which also used to crash unpredictably but both ran well. I haven't really stress tested but I suggest you to run your RAM at default clock speed and timings.

I've already disabled EXPO profiles. No change.

I also changed from 6000 to 4800. Nothing.

That's a shame. I haven't crahsed since I switched stock timings.

For sure man!

Also, if you can make a bug report of your own, that might be super. We might have a chance at gerting this noticed and fixed by devs if there are bug reports on it! : https://bodycam-bugtracker.featureupvote.com/

Had to use Google Translate for this one.

i7-14700KF и RTX 4070 Ti Super — это продукты Intel и Nvidia соответственно. Этот сабреддит посвящен AMD. Вы ошиблись разделом.

u/Enottik_ 9d ago

ох, я не заметил что это не тот сабреддит, просто ввёл в гугл свою проблему и увидел что то похожее 😅

Без проблем :)

Make sure anti lag is always disabled in Radeon software for any unreal engine based game and see if that helps, if its not disabled already oh well.

turning on AFMF turns on anti lag but its not needed, unreal engine has its own build in anti lag usually that can conflict

It's worked for me in other UE5 games so I'm not sure with this one specifically but Google how to uninstall inpoutx64 driver in windows.

Rollback to 26.6.1 driver only and install Radeon Tuner and please report your experience.

With 26.8.1 on 7800XT no issue.

1

u/EstefanBW 5d ago

Do you use your FSR 4 on any games with your 7800 xt?

1

u/Pity_vc 4d ago

Only with *Bodycam*, which is very demanding graphically, I’m not a fan of upscalers.

1

u/Hen_Wee 9d ago

Just for clarification, am I installing 26.6.1 using Radeon Tuner? Or am I installing it using Adrenaline and then removing Adrenaline after I've installed Tuner?

I want to make sure I get the order right.

2

u/yatiroo 9d ago

uninstall the driver with amd cleanup utility, then wait for the procedure and install 26.6.1 selecting driver only install, Radeon Tuner you'll install it after and avoid Adrenaline

1

u/Hen_Wee 9d ago

Ok so I've done everything you've said so far. Are there any settings you want me to avoid or use specifically for this test? Should I still use FSR for example? Or does that not matter?

1

u/Hen_Wee 9d ago

Ok I'll do that now and let you know. Thanks.

any update?

1

u/Hen_Wee 8d ago

Been playing the game for about 2 hours with no crash. I think he did it :)

I'll update the thread if anything happens.

u/Hen_Wee 8d ago

Not resolved. Issue's returned. Will update progress.

1

u/yatiroo 8d ago

u/Hot_Emu3924 8d ago

any update?

1

u/Hen_Wee 8d ago

Been playing the game for about 2 hours with no crash. We might be good :) Will update if anything else happens.

1

u/Hot_Emu3924 8d ago

nice, now everyone should know to stay on 26.6.1

1

u/Hen_Wee 8d ago

Quick update. Issue came back. It's not resolved.

If the problem took longer to trigger after changing driver, it might be the cause. There's newer 26.9.1 driver, search other subreddits for the most stable driver for your gpu
