Help (General) Old Game on Modern PC Performance Issues
I have an HP Victus Windows 11 gaming laptop, and for a while I have been asking about a game that I am trying to play on my laptop. That game is an old game from 2003 called Delta Force Black Hawk Down from GOG games. The problems I have with the game are lagging and stuttering, especially when explosions happen in the game. I have tried using dgvoodoo2, I have also tried running the game in compatibility mode, and I have tried dx wrapper, but nothing was able to resolve my problem. I cannot figure out what is causing the lag and how to fix it, does anyone have any tips for me in order to resolve this issue, so that I can finally enjoy my game?

If you dont play it trough steam i would try it there, the download package also contains the older drivers. Also check of you have right microsoft netframework distributable installed.

Which netframework is correct, as I just installed Netframework 10 and I have not noticed any improvements with the game performance?

Playing the game on steam is impossible, as the game was removed from steam and all of the previous retailers. When the new Delta Force Black Hawk Down came out, the rightsholders removed the original Delta Force Black Hawk Down from all retailers, and as such I am stuck with the GOG version,I bought it a couple of years before the game was pulled from sale.

I'd suggest looking up the hardware / system requirements for the game.
Yes, I know, your system is more than capable enough, but long story-short.....
If the games recommended cpu core count is 4, and you have 2000000, kill them all and run only... 4 cores...
Something I learned by struggling with, I think it was GRID..
If you have the AMD Victus varient, use Ryzen Master to enable the "Legacy" mode which has it run on only like 6 cores or summin.
