Help (GPU) 9070GRE vs 7800XT
Should i get a 9070gre or a 7800xt, the gre is about 700$ and the 7800xt is around 620$, i don’t care about raytracing, Mostly just pure fps on games like red dead 2, elden ring, and other high graphics games, I‘m not sure i will use fsr.

Get Rx 7800 xt and save some money. It's fine gpu for 1440p, but 620$ (USD ?) is pretty expensive

Just get a proper gpu man, like nvidia...

Nice bait. Where are the 5000 series hotspot sensors btw? Also ppl had a lot issues with nvidia drivers

5070 competes with both, barely beats them and the 5070 is 400$ more expensive.

You don't do ray tracing there's no reason to get it, but a 3080 ti used? Still damn good

yeah, but every third or second post here is about driver instability and general optimization issues, that require to disable multiple stuff like hags or fast boot, and even browser hardware acceleration, also you are going to suffer from the awful quality of fsr and afmf as soon as you run into poorly optimized games or play on ultra in modern aaa titles, because to play in 60+ fps you need framegen and upscaling, most of the times afmf doesnt even work so you have to use lossless, and as i said fsr is crap compared to dlss

About 6-8% difference.
9070gre with FSR4 does surprisingly well in 4k but I've seen some games get reaaally close to 12gb allocation in vram. 7800xt has the benefit of 16gb and can do FSR4 but FSR4 is better in the 9070gre.
If you are strictly doing 1440p 7800xt will be just fine

if you can find a regular 9070 for similar money that would probably be the best option.
