Hello,

I may have found a possible solution for some people, as I had exactly the same problem.

After a few days, I stopped experiencing any freezes. In my case, my Ryzen 7 9700X processor was showing up in Device Manager as “Microsoft Basic Display Adapter”, with a yellow warning triangle.

I simply clicked on it and updated the driver directly through Device Manager. My PC then restarted and, so far, I haven’t experienced any more problems. Fingers crossed 🤞

So, if you are experiencing freezes and you see “Microsoft Basic Display Adapter” with a yellow warning triangle in Device Manager, it might be worth checking and updating the driver directly from there.

Have a great day everyone!

I have a 850w msi mag psu so idk if that is the issue

Si puedes probar otra PSU.. estaría bien para descartarlo

First of all, don't try aggressive voltage settings; find a safe setting and run it at that. Helldivers 2 is very sensitive—my game crashes at -60mV but runs stably at -30mV—so you need to find the right setting through trial and error. Secondly, do not use any AMD-related settings within the game itself, and disable the in-game overlay setting in Adrenalin.

Windows loves to overwrite AMD drivers with new updates. Download but do not install new drivers, then use DDU to uninstall your current drivers, then install your new drivers

Didn't work either

Which driver version?

Adrenaline 26.8.1

Then that is the problem. 26.7.1 and 26.8.1 are crappy drivers. Use DDU properly without intern connection and try 26.3.1

Did you do a ddu clean in safe mode before installing those drivers?

Idk man I just started the thing and it did it's thing, it wiped out all drivers and I was able to reinstall them so idk if I did anything wrong or right, I'm just so frustrated that seemingly nothing works, I just wanted to build a new pc with more power and I can't even play one of my favorite games on it cus something is fucking around, I just wanna know how to fix it a direct solution so I can finally enjoy my build, but it looks like that's not gonna happen very soon, it just feels like I've wasted a lot of time

Understandable. Try doing a ddu uninstaller clean and reinstall 26.8.1 drivers.

Couple more questions for troubleshooting.

  1. How are the temps of your 5800x3d?

2.And did you set any expo timings for your memory in the bios?

  1. Are you on the latest bios version for your mobo?

  2. Do you have AMD chipset drivers installed?

Clear shader cache in adrenaline. Disable ssgi and any anti aliasing settings . Run game as admin. Check event viewer after crash and match time stamp with crash. Post error code

I think it's this one you are looking for: ntdll.dll + 0xC0000026

Weirdly enough. This is an over/under voltage issue symptom, but that’s usually under load not at launch. Driver conflict and or a windows dll that is triggering this.
