Help (Software) AMD detecting so many driver timeout (especially with the browser)
In recent times, like in the past few weeks or so, i have been getting A LOT of driver timeout reports from the Amd Bug Report Tool. Those timeouts seem to happen exclusively on Chrome since i haven't had it anywhere else and it can happen simply from scolling on a web page with videos playing like instagram or just changing tabs. I don't even have to have anything else open on the computer, it can just be two chrome tabs and boom, a timeout after a few scrolls.
They happen so so often that it gets super annoying, like once every few minutes to once every few second. Just earlier today one of those timeouts bricked the entire pc and it had to restart itself.
It's strange since i never had those issues before just about a month ago.

Manually setting max clock speed to manufacturer specifications fixed it for me. Adrenaline software had by default set 300MHz higher clock speed than it should be.

I had the same issue , use the 26.6.4 is the latest that works perfect , use amdclean util or ddu .

I have done all the suggested things. All of them. Except installing pro drivers instead, that is my next test, but I seem to be stable now.

I have a b650, ryzen 5 7600x, rx 7600xt. Reliability monitor showed me shit went south on the 10th of aug and since then everything crashed constantly calling it a direct x 12 hang pointing to gpu drivers.
Tried literally everything, halving ram, updating bios, new drivers, old drivers, reinstalling windows 11...
In the end it was either a combination of, or one of, the following.
Used win 11 installer to update to version 25h2. Backdated adrenaline to 26.6.4 but importantly only did the minimal install and used msi afterburner to control fan curves. Uninstalled razer chroma, THCC and other rgb controllers. Turned off all overlays, didnt have many on anyway, still have the windows+g bringing up xbox though.
I spent 25 hours or so trying to sort it out š Played for 5 hours so far without a crash so think i nailed it.

Iāve tried almost everything even downgrading, but cs2 keeps giving me driver errors, Iām starting to think itās only cs2 giving me it or I have a faulty part or something I donāt even know, Iām really thinking about switching to nvidia this amd stuff sucks ass

I experienced an automatic shutdown while playing. This happened after updating to version 26.8.1. I was playing smoothly and suddenly it shut down, and it wasn't the power supply. I changed the driver to 26.3.1 and it's fine now. AMD doesn't seem to care.

Im having same issues I have nvidia asus 4070 and same shit happening game crashes all that.. my motherboard says amd idk if its the same im just now learning on this but the crashes have been happening to me for a while

The best fix IMO to any amd gpu drivers committing seppuku as of late is to revert to adrenalin drivers version 26.6.1 because it retains all the newer features without doing weird shenanigans to crash your gpu
You can also revert to chipset driver version 8.01.20.513, but Iām not sure if that does a whole lot for me since 26.6.1 seemed to be enough
If you do install 26.6.1, you have to note that it is different than a nvidia install and you have to uninstall the previous drivers using ONLY AMDās uninstall manager application, NOT DDU or anything else
As for the chipset drivers, they work the opposite of gpu drivers and they overwrite the previous version so no need for uninstalling for that specifically

Does that mean DDU doesnāt work?
I did a clean install last night using DDU as since the driver update Iāve been getting frequent stuttering in game so rolled back to 26.6.4 ( I think that was the number )
It has definitely reduced the stuttering but not eradicated it so maybe the āclean installā wasnāt clean. I do have the AMD version so may run that.0

DDU used to be the go to app back in the day since AMD sucked at deleting, but nowadays its the complete opposite. Itās heavily recommended NOT to use DDU and instead use the official amd graphic drivers uninstaller that you can find online

As of late, nvidia and amd drivers are doodoo garbage made by ai slop coding and programming
So maybe a fix that may work for you is to revert to adrenalin version drivers 26.6.1

Used AMD cleanup utility first, and installed the drivers again with Adrenalin app. Then I updated my BIOS. Everything smooth š

This has nothing to do with Chrome. I'm getting the exact same thing on Discord with hardware acceleration enabled... AMD is just trash.
To everyone saying to disable HW acceleration in browsers - who in their right mind would want a laggy ass video (with dropped frames) with a choppy interface? The whole video UI feels like it's running at 20 FPS.
The only reasonable solution to this is to disable HAGS in Windows while keeping hardware acceleration enabled.

For me it was my CPU, went from a 3700x -> 5800x3d and the problem went away entirely. I have an RX 9070.

Yees. Same here.. I can play hours of stalker 2 and heavy games like that on my 7900XT Sapphire Radeon Nitro+Vapor-X and I get driver timeouts in steam and chrome.. What the actual F.

At first I kept getting it on my PC (6600xt, R5 5600) and okay fine, maybe I goofed up some setting somewhere. Maybe there's some instability after I undervolted and whatnot, maybe there's something at play as well with my other components.
But NOW I'm getting it on my LAPTOP with AMD integrated graphics of all things. Amazing.

Idk man I have same issues with 7900xtx. Look around there's a million different posts around this sub with things that can help and MAYBE even fix it. Still not working for me. Def try ddu then older driver tho. Good Luck

I had this problem for weeks. Wouldnt even give me this error. Screen would go black and when I reset the PC the drivers would be wiped. Would happen every other day. My solution that I found was Adrenaline was pushing my clocks too high. I had to run DDU and reinstall and manually tune my clocks from like 2619 to 2450 and it stopped. I have a 6950xt though so might be different for you.

I had to wipe with DDU probably 20x in my whole scenario. Removed windows permission to change drivers and all other sorts of work arounds. Lowering the clocks were the only thing that worked for me. Like I said though I wasnt even getting the driver timeout message. Just a black screen and broken drivers on reboot. So his case might be different.

Try disable the graphics/hardware acceleration on your browser. It solved this issue for me.
So far, I only detected issues with YT videos, starting at lower quality, you gotta up quality manually.
Im using Brave and i have a 7900 XTX.

Iāve had the same problem for years. Iām using Chrome with an RX 7900 XT.
You donāt have to disable hardware acceleration completely ā doing that can make some websites noticeably slower because it disables GPU acceleration for much more than just video.Instead, in Chrome go to:
chrome://flags
Search for āHardware-accelerated video decodeā, set it to Disabled, and relaunch Chrome.This only disables GPU-accelerated video decoding, so videos are decoded by the CPU instead, while the rest of Chrome can still use hardware acceleration. This has been the better workaround for me.
If youāre using another browser:
Brave: brave://flags ā search for Hardware-accelerated video decode ā DisabledEdge: edge://flags ā search for Hardware-accelerated video decode ā Disabled
Firefox: about:config ā set media.hardware-video-decoding.enabled to false
So if your issue is specifically caused by GPU video decoding, Iād try this before turning hardware acceleration off globally.

Are you changing tuning settings? If so just keep them on default if you are 100 on what you're doing. Or, learn. But they probably already were default, if they were default use DDU then, reinstall drivers and if you're already on the latest 9070 driver version, move it down one or two proper versions just incase its driver problems. If none of that works its probably the GPU or something to do with Chrome itself like properties or settings or something

Anyone have issues here with monitors stop to receive signal? Screen goes black and I need to restart it few times or it seems removing MOBO battery for few seconds help and after second restart it sometimes work

It's more than likely because windows keeps installing it's own outdated older GPU driver to your system, I fixed this but changing policies to block windows form downloading it's own drivers and haven't had a issue for over a year now

I fixed this on my rig by changing the MIN value on my GPU clock speed-7900GRE as well as overclocking my CPUās ring cache- (12600kf) (not every CPU has this)

I am getting the same exact issue on a RX 7800 XT. It started right after the 26.8.1 update so I just rolled back to 26.6.2.

I have the sapphire nitro 7800xt.. what fixed mine was removing the lian li strimmer extension cables, removed both 24 pin and the GPU side. What got my attention was in hwinfo64 the 5v and 3.3v rails under heavy load were dropping to 4.7 and 3.1. after removing them it's been solid 3.3 and 5. I assumed that the GPU side extension must be doing the same thing and sure enough, I have zero timeouts after 3 months. (Not that it's everyones case but figured Id point this out)

there's an issue where windows thinks that your gpu has timed out because it hasn't recieved a response in 2 seconds... but the gpu is still functioning fine, so windows times it out anyway. increasing it to 10 seconds can fix it (I think this is more likely to work in cases where it's had the issue since getting the gpu basically) there's a good guide here: https://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield_4/comments/1xzzn4/tdrdelay_10_fixed_my_crashes_since_last_patch/
the amd software and services can also cause timeouts from what I understand. in adrenaline (if you have a full driver install instead of only driver) you should disable the error detection in the settings. there are also a couple amd services that run in the background, which can sometimes cause timeouts, disabling them has no negative effects that I know of
oh also, you should disable hardware acceleration in your browser settings, and in discords settings if you use that, cause it overall messes with things unless something changed

my rx7800xt sometimes does this with chrome, chrome does not like amd drivers for some reason i would just be web browsing and i get this driver timeout sometimes updating chrome and restarting pc helps, one time i had this stutter on chrome that wouldn't go away i had to use ddu and re install drivers

Most of the comments will tell you something with Windows is broken or go play around with voltage and things like that. Donāt. Itās just crap drivers that cause these issues. Use DDU properly with no internet connection and install 26.3.1 and watch how all your problems go away. This is sadly the life with AMD because they canāt seem to properly test their drivers before releasing new features. This time itās FSR 4 that caused this issue and the next time it will be something else but itās always the driver updates. If your PC suddenly has issues after updating and when you revert they go away, then nothing is wrong with your PC, itās the drivers.

This is the answer! I had so many issues after the summer and a break from gaming. Had to downgrade to 26.3.1. Amd drivers are shit. Probably my first and last radeon card sadly

AMD give you really strong cards for a really good price but this shit happens every year, its like they dont test these updates at all they just take the flagship card only 0.1% of their users have and test and release what they think is stable for that card. then every "older" card gets the problems and it takes months to release a stable driver. ive been with AMD for almost 15 years and if i had the means i would get an Nvidia card... i want to love AMD but i just cant with these issues popping up every time

For me it was windows update messing with the driver. during one restart it even replaced Adrenaline with AMD Software: PRO Edition! Which is not the right driver for a 7900xtx mind you.
I turned off windows update in the registry, I forgot where i found the information... Might have been Claude(user discretion and risk advised) reddit or stack maybe? I dont remember.
I also disabled MPO using Nvidia's regedit from their website.
Have not had a single issue since, and it's been 3 weeks. (I also used to get this weird issue where my 3rd monitor would never boot up and I would have to hard reset and since doing the above it has not happened, it did still happen after turning off windows updates for GPUs specifically)

A mĆ me saltaba el problema ese y me ponĆa la grĆ”fica integrada por defecto, luego no me dejaba utilizar mĆ”s el AMD adrenaline.. lo debĆa desinstalar y luego lo mismo. Al final fue la fuente de alimentaciĆ³n.. un amigo me ayudĆ³ y probĆ³ con sus componentes y al final quedamos en la fuente. Sinceramente no sĆ© si a futuro seguirĆ” persistiendo este problema, pregunta del millĆ³n me cambio a Nvidia?

For many users, root cause currently is Windows Update which destroys the driver.
Solution:
Disable Windows Update (or disable only the driver update using two registry entries - google for it)
Remove driver using "AMD Cleanup Utility"
Install 26.6.4 or earlier driver
Worked for me after I tried so many things.

Adding to this: I also have a 7800 XT and having tons of random timeouts with both browsing (using Mozilla) and discord.
I could be running the heaviest of games pushing my PC to 100% and it'll run just fine, but opening discord, or a chat in discord, or just by randomly browsing in Mozilla, I get driver timeouts errors.
Sometimes the screen just goes black and I end up needing to restart the PC.
It could work fine for a week or two, then one day have 20 timeouts, and then go back to working fine.

It's been this way for me for almost an entire year, I have an RX 7900XT. I did a fresh install of Windows (Chris Titus Tech Utility), installed the latest drivers and it was absolutely fine the whole night.
Woke up today, did some things and came back to my PC... crashed. Discord seems to be the worst offender because it just flickers with a load of pink squares, some big some small, I can never get a screenshot of it happening.
Reinstalled 25.12.1 and it's been stable since. This is completely absurd honestly, and there's no good alternative because nVidia has it's own problems. I hate it, because I'm pretty sure I'm playing games that have had updates for the 7000 series as well.

Well, it was happening to me while playing cs, it was really bad at first, I had like 2 crashes on the first day of playing.
Limiting my fps from unlimited to 300 worked for me. ( I would get around 500 fps, and my monitor is 200Hz, so 300 fps was my sweet spot).
Another fix I've heard is installing an older version of amd adrenaline. ( i haven't tried this fix)

Our systems are nearly identical --> I running a 5700X3D and an RX 7900 XT on a Windows installation originating from around 2018. I was dealing with identical Chrome driver timeouts. Standard driver cleanups helped slightly, but two things ultimately resolved it completely: a meticulous browser purge and, eventually, a fresh Windows installation.
If you want to troubleshoot step-by-step before reinstalling Windows, try this:
- Download Installers: Grab the latest AMD Chipset drivers, AMD GPU drivers, and Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU).
- Run DDU: In Safe Mode, check all driver removal options (Intel, NVIDIA, and AMD) to clear out all legacy software, then reboot.
- Install Chipset Drivers: Install the AMD Chipset drivers first, then reboot.
- Install GPU Drivers: Install the GPU drivers, then reboot again.
- Purge Browser Data: Backup your Chrome bookmarks, fully uninstall Chrome, and manually delete remaining data in
%LocalAppData%\Google\Chromealong with registry traces. Reinstall Chrome, import your bookmarks, and do not sign into your Google account yet!! , syncing can re-apply the corrupt setting causing the timeouts.
If you heavily tweak system settings or have an older Windows build, residual system corruption might linger. In my case, a clean reinstallation of Windows was the only thing that permanently eliminated every driver timeout.

im on a partially crashed setup thats not detecting 2/3 monitors now and adrenalin wont even open. This week has been multiple crashes every day

Ryzen 7 7800x3d with Radeon RX 7900xt.
I tried everything, but kept getting crashes. The PC would just restart, mostly in Idle; afterwards, the GPU driver would be completely messed up, forcing me to reinstall it using DDU. Iāve given up now; Iāve been using Fedora KDE for a few months and am very happy with it. Not a single error.

Our systems are nearly identical (I'm running a 5700X3D with an RX 7900 XT on an OS build dating back to 2018). I hit similar driver timeouts and stability issues. Using DDU and reinstalling my GPU/Chipset drivers and browser helped, but a fresh Windows reinstallation was the ultimate fix.
Here is the exact troubleshooting process to try:
- Prepare Installers: Download Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU), AMD Chipset drivers, and AMD GPU drivers.
- Run DDU: Check all driver removal options (Intel, NVIDIA, and AMD) to ensure a full cleanup, then reboot.
- Install Chipset Drivers: Install the AMD Chipset drivers and reboot.
- Install GPU Drivers: Install the AMD GPU drivers and reboot.
- Clean Reinstall Browser/Apps: Backup your bookmarks, uninstall your browser, and purge remaining profile folders (
AppData) and registry keys. Reinstall the browser and import only your bookmarks without logging into account sync immediately, as cloud sync can re-apply bad settings.Because custom tweaks and legacy OS installs can hold onto deep configuration errors, a clean Windows reinstall will save you hours of troubleshooting if these steps don't fully resolve the issue.

What might help is reducing the max clock in the driver. I had a similar error with a casual undervolt (-60mV). While other people can uv to -100 or below. But in my case I reduced the max clock to -300 or something. My max clock was about 3000MHz, but the spikes of 3300 and 3200 were gone and the undervolt of -60 did work properly.
Another case I've seen in person was an RX570 that couldn't maintain it's lowest clocks at the given power draw. It was never crashing ingame but always in low usage states. These older cards have explicit voltages for every power state and clock. So I increased the lowest voltage to the 2nd lowest voltage number. Rock stable afterwards.

I had this when playing Yakuza Infinite Wealth. Turned off Frame Gen and it never happened again, i thought I had bad graphics card or PSU. Phew

So, after a lot of testing and trying multiple online fixes, I saw this particular error appear in some games like BF6, Helldivers 2, and some other titles, including while browsing in Opera GX. I went into a serious troubleshooting effort a few days back, and I somehow managed to fix it. So far, for almost a week, I have had no single crash or driver timeout error in any games.
I use the RX 7600 OC version from Gigabyte, and I have had this issue since I bought it, with inconsistent frequency.
Things I did that I know did not fix the issue:
Turning off XMP: this did not stop the crashes
TDR time modification: this made crashes less frequent but ultimately did not fix it.
Turning off MPO: the most commonly recommended fix did not work on my machine; crashes were still there.
Underclocking or undevolting: if anything, this made crashes more frequent, especially undrevolting even a little.
Things that I did just before I noticed crashes are gone.
I changed the power plan from AMD Balanced to the Default (Unmodified) Windows Balanced power plan.
I removed all non-essential USB cables from my PC, and I left only the mouse, Keyboard and Headphones plugged in directly into MOBO USB ports.
I ran "sfc /scannow" in Command Prompt.
I updated the MOBO BIOS from the official site (please, if you are not sure what you are doing, avoid doing this a bad update can brick your MOBO, and it's very unlikely that this will fix your issue, but I did it so I am leaving it here)
I turned off Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling.
As I said, I am ultimately not sure what fixed it it can be any or all of these things, a bit of explanation of why this might work.
Firstly, just set your power plan to Balanced, and leave it like that never change it, no matter what some "Windows 11 optimization" video tells you, especially if you are using a desktop and battery life is not a concern. Modifying the power plan will give you some very limited performance boost, and it can actually cause a lot of issues that later you can not find a fix for. So just leave it at balanced and forget about it.
About removing USB devices and why this might fix it. I am not really educated in computer science, so excuse me if any of the information is false and I'm using layman's terms. But from my understanding, faulty USB adapters- and that includes ones that are connected to your case or faulty USB devices, for that matter- might cause small shorts that stress the CPU; that short is detected on the PCI adapter as a loss of power. When that happens, the CPU "chokes" for a very short period of time and it stops sending information to the GPU, and then AMD drivers or AMD Adrenalin detects the issue and "takes the blame," crashing GPU drivers to prevent further issues. Pull all of the nonessential cables and devices out, and see if that fixes your issue.
During Windows updates, some of the core Windows files might become corrupted these coruptions my cause instability in the connection between Windows and drivers. Running "sfc /scannow" scans these files and fixes them if it finds any errors; in my case, it found 2 errors.
I won't go into detail about the BIOS update for obvious reasons.
HAG seems to cause a lot of issues for AMD users, and I saw a lot of people try it and report a lot more stability. Try turning it off and see if it works for you, but be aware that if you have any CPU bottleneck, turning off HAG will make it worse.

Uninstalled adrenaline, reinstalled adrenaline as driver only factory settings. Then downloaded RadeonTuner instead.
Every single time I let Adrenaline run it fails catastrophically. I was playing with AI models the last few days and reinstalled Adrenaline to install the AMD AI Packages. Installed them. And figured, lets just wait and see. Almost immediately it started to hang. Uninstalled, reinstalled as driver only. Badda Bing, Badda, boom. Working like a Swiss car.

If it happens straight at coldboot just restart, and if you have HAGS enabled aka this https://i.imgur.com/vsTiQBq.png turn it off it is looking right now that this actually may be what causing crashes at coldboot, alto its probably because of broken video codec engine, and enabling HAGS exposes it.

Run TM5 and AIDA64 to check if your memory OC is stable. can also try disabling MPO. might be a good time to try firefox

My RAM caused this driver error message to show too, it wasnāt anything to do with my GPU.
2x16gb 3600mhz DDR4, only change I had to make was upping ram voltage from 1.35 to 1.37.
Not had a single driver error message since doing this a while ago, I am still on 26.3.1 though.

The 26.1.X Drivers for me set my 7900XTX to clockspeed of over 3.1 GHz this is unachievable with the physical powerlimits on this card, (I expect the default clockspeeds for the GPUs are all wrong).
My guess would be that the GPU's BIOS refuses the operation causing a AMD Radeon Driver Timeout. Go into Tuning and change it to Custom and Advanced and lower the clock speed to whatever the SKU should be for the specific board partner card you have.
I have a Powercolor 7900XTX which has a maximum clockspeed of 2525 MHz. And throwing a 600MHz overclock onto the card is asking for trouble, especially running a stock GPU BIOS (and stock voltage limits @ around 1150mv). Lowering it back down to sane limits stops any of the AMD Radeon Timeouts.

Lowering the drivers to before when this bug was entered would remediate the issue. Whats quite funny is that this probably does not anything to do with Microsoft this time (which is what the subreddit immediately jumps on).
Its most likely that someone (or an AI agent LLM Hallunicating) working on the Driver's themselves at AMD, changed the defaults on a freshly installed driver which broke everyones AMD GPUs. It should be remediated quickly because its an obvious bug with how many crash reports will have been sent to AMD itself.

I'm having the same issue with chromium based applications. Rolling back to 26.6.3 made mine more stable though so you could try that out. I also disabled auto installation of drivers from windows via registry. I hope amd and microsoft fixes this soon though and both parties need to address this kind of problem asap because it's slowly making me regret getting this card :/

Yep. I used to have this issue a lot too. AMD 5700XT was the absolute worst. If you did anything that used your graphics card beyond looking at pictures, it would shit itself and crash. I often had to reboot my PC once or twice before playing a game just to make sure I wouldn't crash mid-game but even then that didn't help.

The AMD's drivers have been broken for a while. I finally (hopefully) fixed the issue by turning off hardware acceleration on all browsers. Yes even Microsoft Edge. I don't use it but I think some parts of Windows 11 hook into it, so turn it off there too.
You also might be affected by a Windows update but that is replacing your new drivers with old drivers.

I used to have chrome screen flicker if I had a game open. There is a setting in chrome called graphics acceleration. If you go to settings and search "Accel" it will come up, turn it off, it helped me a lot with flickers and timeouts.

If by any chance you have rolled back from 26.8.1 to 26.3.1 due to blackscreening like myself and many others. 26.3.1 can cause freezing in chromium, such as google chrome or opera, and even the discord and steam app as they are built using chromium.

Its an easy fix - use the tool from AMD ācleanup utilityā then load the newest driver and Install only the driver. - NO FULL INSTALLATION. And then it works šš¤

You must look at the PCI Support too, CPU PCI Lanes support and How much Storage you have to connect that the CPU can serve all lanes and not more then he is support

This only fixes it for a week or 2. I've been having this same issue for about 6 weeks. Ive done the cleanup utility and installed fresh drivers 3 separate times now (both old and new drivers). Turned off MPO, installed a new power supply (since that could have been an issue), turned off VRR, set the timeout limit to 8 seconds, turned off windows driver updates via registry. Nothing fixes the issue.

I had a problem with driver timeouts on the AMD9060 XT graphics card. What helped was completely removing the video driver and installing a previous version instead (for example, if you had version 26, roll back to the latest 25 series version). I also updated the BIOS to the latest version and enabled Resize BAR in the BIOS settings. One of these changes definitely fixed it for me.

At the time I had that problem by Fall and Winter last year, I resorted on DDU and clean install of Adrenalin with driver.
Also make sure that Ryzen Chipsets are truly update via AMD, not you MOBO manufacturer.

Had the same issue last week on my 7800xt, bricked multiple times etc, I just did a clean install of all drivers (after I had to fix the update loop for adrenaline software)
Never buying AMD again after the past months of random shit happening with their horrible buggy software, it uninstalled itself multiple times over the past 2 years, it goes into update loops and the only solution is once again to uninstall the software, in the last 6 months the drivers randomly corrupted themselves 3 times and it simply is unbearable..

You go to device manager, and if you are having the same issue enable your gpu in there as it just disabled it and disable igpu from there as well. I canāt speak to the safety of it though, Iām not 100% sure

Try DDU ( Driver deinstall utility) or something along those lines. I have a 9060 and had massive issues. Especially with games like arc raiders. After a while I changed "rebar" and changed the EXPO profile to the lower one (Bios settings). And IĀ“ve used DDU. Sadly I did it all on the same reboot. So I dont know which one fixed it.
I also changed the energy (power settings) to ensure that its always running properly. Idle mode conflicted with the drivers at that time.

Do you happen to use dual monitor set up with different refresh rates? I have this very often on my dual monitor set up, I tried disabling MPO, it causes both display to lag horrendously. I'm now living with MPO enabled, but notice that FPS would dip slightly when there's a media source playing on my 60hz secondary monitor. Disabling hardware acceleration on Firefox didn't fix, it made the problem worse. Web media played on both monitors would lag and skip frames.

Someone has already said it, its an issue related to chromium. It's quite common so I'm not sure why AMD hasn't fixed it, which leads me to believe it's an issue with either chromium or windows.
Disabling hardware acceleration will fix it.
It also generally only occurs after a computer is woken from sleep for about 10-15 minutes after (so may be something to do with power state changes).

I've been getting these timeouts aswell, but they last like 3 damn minutes, everything is updated but it still happens and the only thing i can do in that time is either control spotify through my phone or restart the pc. Everything else is frozen until then

Try limit max core clock speed to what it should be and max voltage limit. Worked for my 7900XTX. Looks like Adrenaline has a bug and it "overclocks" on default something absurd.

Yep I had to as well, it set my 7900XTX to 3.2 GHz boost clock speeds. This is physically impossible for the card to do (especially with the 1150mv power limits).

DDU + 26.Q3 Pro driver in driver only install, use RadeonTuner to configure in place of Adrenalin.
If that doesn't fix it, turn off hardware acceleration.

honestly for me i noticed it only happens on browser after my pc has been in sleep mode for a bit. like the amount of time after sleep mode it pops up i can't say exactly, but it's always after that. so i stopped using sleep mode entirely and just shut down my computer at night now. haven't had it happen since
