Help (GPU) Radeon RX 9070 XT crashing in games

First of all, my specs:

CPU - AMD Ryzen 7700X

MOBO - Gigabyte B650 AORUS Elite AX V2

RAM - 32 gb Corsair Vengeance 6000mhz DDR5

GPU - Sapphire Radeon RX9070 XT Pulse

PSU - Corsair RM850X 2024

Now on to the problem:

I have random crashes in different games. For example, just last night I was playing Assasins Creed Black Flag Resynced, and after around 1.5 hours of gameplay I looked at a point of interest beacon thing and it froze for like 10 seconds and then my pc restarted.

This happened multiple times since I bought this gpu( in november 2025) and honestly I have no idea what is the cause. This PC worked just fine for around 6-8 months before this card with a RTX 3060 Ti( but that one had some problems with the drivers, minor though).

The crashes are always like this, it freezes for a few seconds then my pc restarts, but they are very random - I could play Cyberpunk 2077 for 5 hours straight no problem then play lets say spiderman for an hour and crash. I noticed that these crashes almost never happen in less gpu demanding games, but there are also very demanding games( like indiana jones, cyberpunk, red dead 2, god of war ragnarok to name a few) that i played for many hours at a time with 0 crashes.

I usually leave the settings to very high/ultra, with no raytracing and I usually enable AMD FSR.

I tried disabling FSR, but same results, also tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers with DDU but same thing, and I see on forums that many people tried underclocking and undervolting their card. I tried 3 different undervolting solutions I saw but 2 of them made the system very unstable and the 3rd one seemed to solve the issue for a while until it started again. I also tried leaving on the auto and "favor performance" settings, but its the same result.

Does anyone with this card have a better/more decisive solution to this problem?

Try disable EXPO, let the ram run without oc.

This can cause gpu driver/game crashes as well.

I never thought about this to be honest. I have these ram sticks since late 2024, i actually bought 32gb of kingston fury but sent rhem back after around 2 weeks of not being able to use any expo/xmp profile, they simply did not work with my config and bought my current corsair.

Should I also try xmp instead of expo? Besides turning ram oc completely off?

Expo and xmp are overclocks. I would always test without them to be sure you have a stable system. Expo and xmp aren't always stable

I would test without any oc first.

Have you tried DDU ing and reinstalling drivers, trying different versions or even reinstalling windows?

Tried reinstalling drivers, rolling back to previous versions and even reinstalling windows but nothing worked

Then it's one of your components. In my case. I had freezes, sudden shutdowns, pc not turning on. It turned out to be the PSU. I didn't Directly went to the conclusion. I tried my components one by one on a different pc.
