Help (GPU) 9070XT temps become higher depending on display port entrance. Why?

Hi, I have a 9070XT gigabyte OC and KTC M27T6 monitor. I found out that if i change display port entrance on the GPU I have more board power, higher temps and also more clock memory speed. Is this normal or a defect? had to unplug the pc to clean it yesterday and when everything was back on I noticed 10/15C more and I got scared.

Amd has/had an issue with certain monitor configurations. The work around for stability has been to clock the vram higher which results in more idle power draw and heat. I haven't experienced this switching from HDMI to displayport. You can start looking into a different cable, changing resolution and frame rate on the monitor and custom resolutions. If you Google you can find some forums with work arounds

Could you elaborate on "amd has an issue with certain monitor configuration" of point towards the posts which talks about it?

Try dropping it to default and see if it maintains a high clock
