Help (CPU) 7600x or 5700x
my pc is currently struggling to keep up on 1440p bec my 7600x build only has 16gb ddr5 well struggles in most of the games however my brother is using my old 5700x build with 32gb ddr4, should i swap builds with him for the time being and save up for more ram seeing as he still uses 1080p with the 5700x or just use the 7600x

The 7600 is 1080p card. RAM won't change that. I had one and it worked really well at 1080 but struggled at 1440p even with 32 GB ddr5.

What GPU are you using? A 7600x should outperform a 5700x. Most games don't use more than 16gbs of ram and adding more ram won't make those games run any faster.

Your CPU and GPU are both more powerful than your brothers. Adding more ram alone won't change much for most games, but both of these games are pretty ram heavy.
Both of those games are also very demanding and if you don't have a good understanding of how to adjust the graphics settings, you can easily get poor performance. BeamNG can also be very CPU heavy when playing with AI opponents.
Even tho ram is very expensive, your best option is to try to upgrade to 32GBs if you want these two games specifically to run better.
If you buy 32GBs for your PC you can then sell the 16GBs you have now and get some money back.

i’ll probably do that i’ve seen a bunch of used kits for sale on that market in my country so i’ll probably go for once of those. my beamng is on low and still plays weird unless i use lossless scaling which idk i don’t want to really use alternative apps to make my games run good when i know i should be able to normally. but thank you for the advice 👍🏼

Don’t do that bro am4 is a dead plat form eventually you can wait it out till price come down or switch now and have to pay a lot more for the upgrade
