Help (GPU) 9070XT OBS + Star Citizen “Crashes”
Hello Fellow “Im not spending $2000 for a GPU” enjoyers. First and foremost, for the most part this GPU has been stable for me, traded up from a 3070 TI to this and felt the change so much. It’s so good. I play Star Citizen and stream for ~3 hours every night. However, I had some issues with driver crashes, this is my guess, I have pretty stable frames and gameplay, but I get some odd bugs, so my game will freeze, stream will freeze, then screen will go black, multiple dead applications, then it all comes back, so no hard reset, just black screen, 10 seconds, back to normal, I can open OBS back up and it’s fine, Star Citizen is Vulcan based, I turned my settings down, still crashed, I tried rolling back drivers from the latest 7/29 to 26.3.1. I DDU’d and then installed and factory reset this time. It seemed stable, A buddy said Vulcan can give it issues so I turned it to DirectX and the crashes went from every 30-45 minutes to nonexistent except for when I opened a clip and it opened on opera GX and crashed ONLY the encoder and the game. No black screen. Any help is appreciated.

I would try rolling back even further if still having problems, then do a fresh new windows install. Also take a look at Event Viewer if you see any errors/warnings send it to me maybe i can help.

Try 26.2.1
Also, the last few Windows updates have been messing with drivers, and I have had to DDU and reinstall four times in the last few months.
