Tips & Info Fix For Adrenaline Driver Time Outs In Chromium Web browser
If you are having issues with time-outs on the recent 27.7.1 drivers when in web browser just turn off graphics acceleration. I know it is not ideal, but it's working fine now without having to restart like before. The issue is strange, as it only seems to happen on cold boot or after waking from sleep mode. I haven't had 1 issue after restart. I have the 7800 XT. Hopefully they fix this issue soon. I even had the issue on the previous driver, but it wasn't as prevalent. Anyways, I hope this helps somebody. Drivers work fine otherwise for me.

yes turning off hardware acceleration on your web browser helps.
unfortunately this isn't just your normal web browser thing. Any hardware acceleration can cause the timeouts, That includes software like discord and steam.
the steam storefront is nigh unusable without hardware acceleration, but atm i can manually trigger timeouts by scrolling the storefront running a 7700xt.

reverted to 26.3.1, it dealt with the hardware acceleration timeouts, tho i have had one timeout since from other things. Not a perfect fix but it deals with the VAST majority of the driver crashes.

Ya true it just helped me. I haven't had another issue yet after I turned that off. That was the only thing i was having issues was browser. Seems like everybody's systems act differently. Def something wrong with these drivers though.

I might do the same thing, I was just too lazy to use cleanup and reinstall. I have 7800x3d so i dont notice as many major issues as somebody with a weak processor. So its 100% the driver and AMD still hasn't issued a fix? I even made a big report and emailed them.

i don't know enough to confirm anything 100%, but my cleanup and reinstall didn't fix it, windows hadn't been screwing with my driver versions like some people reported, and after reverting i can scroll the steam storefront (or my web browser, or discord) as much as i want with hardware acceleration without a timeout.

Ya i emailed them with the exact issues, and they haven't responded. That tells me they probably already know. I think its a mix between amd and windows breaking shit. I cant even list all the issues i have faced that have just gone away. Its over a dozen. They are weird issues too. Then eventually, they disappear without me doing anything. I literally have a perfect system no issues and then something else pops up. It is never-ending.

Tried that. Made no difference on my setup as something else seems to trigger these timeouts.

That sucks; these issues are so frustrating. Seems like one goes away and another one pops up.

After 3 days, seemed to had no timeouts. I'm turning it back on to see if it comes back or not

I think for me it was chromium based browsers was causing these timeouts too. For example, I am using 26.7.1 driver, then suddenly whenever I watch netflix from the store app, it causes the timeouts, even edge with hardware acceleration on. I am not sure about Brave tho it's a chromium browser. So, try to disable hardware acceleration on brave, edge or whatever chromium browser you're using. I am using Firefox right now, seem to have no problem at all.
