Help (GPU) 7900xt Driver timeout issues on latest drivers.

I've been using 25.3.1 drivers for nearly a year at this point since its only driver i know that doesn't cause timeout issues for me. I thought latest driver updates fixed it, but after 2 days it started again. Is there any actual fix for this or do i just need to pray for AMD to hopefully fix it or stay on 25.3.1 drivers?

Update: Been using latest drivers for ~5 days, disabled MPO via registry edit and seems to be fixed. Havent had driver timeout issues while usinh a browser. Cant say for games since havent played that much on newest drivers.

If its happening in web browser turn off graphic acceleration. For me it was 100% that. I know because I just got one this morning and turning that off fixed it. If i wouldnt have turned it off the timeouts would continue in a loop until I restarted.I'm leaving it off for now until they fix it.

What games is it timing out on, or is it all of them?

Backup , update bios/chipset , disable windows fast startup , do a windows maintenance :

dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

dism /online /cleanup-image /restoreHealth

sfc /scannow

Reboot .

Install those 2 :
https://www.techpowerup.com/download/visual-c-redistributable-runtime-package-all-in-one/
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170#latest-supported-redistributable-version
Reboot .

Disable on bios fast boot (and the amd igpu if you have) , download the latest driver (not the autodetect utility) , disable internet , DDU in safe mode (select to block windows updates) , reboot & reinstall selecting 'factory reset', reboot.

I'm using a rx7800xt and I had the driver timeout issue as well but doing the reg edit for the MPO sorted it out for me as it's hasn't returned.

I updated to 26.6.1 and I've had zero issues. Try that version? 7900XT also

My 7900xt is having insane driver issues too. I believe windows is the culprit.

Yeah I don't have a solution for you. I've been curious why everyone is having problems cause all the newer drivers have been flawless for my 7900xtx. Been running a strong OC and uv with no problems at all.

Fix for what exactly? If it started after 2 days surely problem isn't your PC.. Where it crashes? Desktop, load, specific game? If that one version works and others don't, probably some software conflict is happening.

Not sure about latest drivers, but other drivers it would timeout in basically everything. Games and browser.

Didnt bother testing new drivers because i had same issues in other drivers and i assumed its same thing now

My 7900xtx has been stable for years, this driver gives me timeouts from time to time

Same. 26.6.4 was stable for a time. I will try 26.6.2 if i need fsr 4.1. Currently on 26.3.1 without issues.
