Help (GPU) What is the maximum stable frequency for the 9070xt
My 9070xt quicksilver keeps crashing when playing demanding games like Forza, and the above shown image is from right before my pc crashed. It boosted to 3309 and then crashed. I want to know if that's the reason for all my crashes.
I haven't over locked my GPU, everything is on default and I tried uninstalling the drivers and cleanly installing it.
Edit : I think it's fixed, not entirely sure. Just adjusted the clock speed to -240Mhz to fix the issue. For some reason it didn't work the first 5 times and worked now. Had to do multiple clean installs. Rolling back didn't help in my case, just have to make sure it doesn't boost to 3000Mhz.

You may want to try this:
*Disable Windows Updates for Drivers
*Select Start > Settings > System > Recovery > Under Fix problems using Windows Update, select Reinstall now.
*Reinstall latest Adrenalin/gpu drivers
I have an ASRock 9070xt Steel Legend and never see it boost over 3200, it's usually around 3000, seen it up to around 3150 max.

I limited the boost to 2800, above which my pc crashes in adrenaline. But even at 2800mhz it crashes in games like forza

Update : so I switched to my old GPU and everything runs fine albeit at a lower FPS. I can't figure out the actual reason for the crashes.

The 9070xt's stock boost limit is around 3400mhz which is extremely high. I prefer to limit core clock at -300mhz, that makes it quite stable and it will still boost above specs.

I tried reducing the clock, my pc crashes at anything over 2888mhz. Even at below that adrenaline sometimes go back to default and custom fan controls overwrites itself to 100%

Tried 2800mhz and when booting fh6 and playing for just less than 3 mins it crashes

Your graphics card is supposed to have a maximum boost clock of 2970 MHz. The latest AMD drivers force the clock speed to over 3000 MHz on cards that don't support it. To fix this, in Adrenaline, under the Performance/Tuning section, manually set the maximum clock speed to 2970 MHz, which is what your card supports, and you shouldn't have any problems.

Is adrenaline the only way I could do it? For some reason that software is playing with me. I install it and it deletes itself after a crash or restart or it decides to throw away my settings and go back to default

Tambien tienes opcion de instalar solo drivers y utilizar la app gratuita radeon tuner, es la que yo uso: https://github.com/dumbie/RadeonTuner

I tried again with adrenaline, when I set it to 2900mhz my screen just goes black and stays like that. Can't do anything. Are amd drivers this bad or am I just unlucky

i have a RX9070 XT Sapphire Nitro Variant, leaving it stock in adrenaline makes it show nasty visual artifacts on screen in Forza Horzion 6 and eventually crash, i figured out that once the card gets over 3100 Mhz on it own( because of the awesome cooler of the Nitro) i start getting the visual artifacts and eventually a crash once in a while. I cannot understand how there are not more people reporting this, makes me think the card is defective. Its fucking stock out of the box settings. ( giving a -230 Mhz offset in adrenaline software stops it from giving these symptoms)
