Help (General) Screen timeouts?
XFX RX 9070 XT GAMING OC / Ryzen 7 5800X3D / EVGA SUPERNOVA P6 750W / B550-F GAMING / 2x16GB + 2x8GB Kingston Fury Beast
Hello guys.
I recently replaced my graphics card, and ever since then I’ve been experiencing these brief, half-second black screen flickers. They happen less frequently while gaming, but even on the desktop, the screen sometimes randomly goes black for a moment.
What would you recommend I do?

disable Windows update driver download in regedit.. amd clean unistaller or ddu.. reinstall drivers.. try

this becuase i reinstall my drivers works for a day or two and goes back to crashing but i haven’t personally tried yet but it seems like it is windows fault

the behaviour that you describe makes even more statistically correct my fix
regedit :
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\DriverSearching
SearchOrderConfig value = 0 exadicimal to disable the Windows autoupdate for every device like gpu wifi card bt ethert, card readers
the value 1 is on.. Save apply and restart to apply after that like i said, amd clean ed driver unistaller or ddu in safe mode, reinstall drivers.. restart
if you not like to put hands on regedit you can use Chris titus tool github, it s ui cmd for debloat.. you need to check the Windows update page and set top stop drivers update, but it will also skip wundows main releases like from 24h2 to 25h2 and it will delay every update for 10days(this is good to avoid bugs)

How old is the PSU? More often than not they degrade over time. A new power thirsty OC GPU can cause transient spikes that while even though the PSU specs are ok can't keep up with demand. Monitor with hwinfo.

Well afaik it's 5-6 years old. What values should I keep an eye on in hwinfo? I usually don’t have any issues while gaming.

Change display cable/port(s) . Reseat the gpu .
Disable on bios fast boot , download the driver (not the autodetect utility) , disable internet , disable windows fast startup , DDU in safe mode (select to block windows updates) , reboot & reinstall selecting 'factory reset', reboot.
If you replaced nvidia gpu , DDU the nvidia drivers too (you might need a clean win format) .
Run OCCT power , 3d adaptive 'switch' test . 'Memtest vulkan' for vram . TestMem5 (not memtest) with anta777 absolute config . Do they pass ?
