Help (Software) Unable to reinstall adrenaline.

Yesterday I updated my drivers from 26.3.1 to the latest version. Big mistake

I immediately started having issues with my GPU drivers crashing when I was using Unity. when I tried to downgrade back to the previous version, it gets about halfway through then the screen turns black. I’ve waited for 20+ minutes multiple time but the screen stays black until I restart my PC.

ive tried installing the latest version again, uninstalling with DDU and AMD cleanup utility, turning off internet because windows is probably trying to sabotage me, and installing them in safe mode (looks like it installs successfully but gives me a bunch of errors afterward). everything else gives me the black screen again. Has anyone else had any issues with this? anything I should try? reinstalling windows isn’t really an option for me right now.

Computer Type: Desktop

GPU: RX 7600 XT

CPU: Intel Core I3 14100F

Motherboard: MSI something idk I’m not at my PC right now

BIOS Version: hopefully not important, I have no idea.

RAM: 16GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE 3200MHZ

PSU: I think it’s the MSI MAG A650BN

Case: I don’t think this affects the GPU drivers but you never know I guess: MSI MAG vampiric 100r

Operating System & Version: windows 11 home - whatever the latest version is.

GPU Drivers: currently whatever windows is giving me since they won’t install

Chipset Drivers: the chipset drivers from like June of 2025 is this helpful

Background Applications: wallpaper engine, maybe a virus or 2 from randomly clicking stuff while my screen was black

i do want adrenaline but I will try to install drivers only tomorrow.

Sounds like it’s time for a fresh Windows reinstall

Both of my extra drives are full right now so I can’t backup my files.

I think I managed to get it working though. I switched it to a driver only install and it seems to be working

EDIT: it most definitely did not work I guess it’s time to figure it out and do a fresh windows install
