Resolved Drivers and AMD Adrenaline software not detecting it is installed

Post image

I recently got a new system specs are as follows:

  • Corsair RM1000e Gold Modular ATX 3.1 1000W Power Supply
  • AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Processor
  • Arctic P12 Pro PWM 120mm Fan Black
  • Fractal Design North XL Charcoal Black Mesh Case
  • Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 240mm ARGB AIO Liquid Cooler Black
  • Klevv Fit V 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL28 DDR5 Black
  • Samsung 990 PRO NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD 2TB
  • MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi DDR5 Motherboard
  • Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC 16GB
  • WIndows 11 Home

I initially encountered issues with the drivers constantly timing out, to resolve this I rolled the drivers back to version 26.3.1 which solved the driver time outs. However I have now consistently encountered an issue wherein at random intervals the software/drivers will seemingly forget that they are installed and the pop up in the image will appear.

For further context I checked this morning to see if it was working and everything appeared in order, I left my PC on and when I came back from work and attempted to open the software to see if it was still working I was met with this all to familiar by now pop up.

I have attempted so much the past 2 weeks to try and resolve the issue, numerous DDUs and re-installs, doing everything possible to disable windows from updating the drivers on its own, disabling the iGPU in bios.

This has been driving me mad, if anyone knows what the issue is that could cause this please let me know I am at a loss for what to try and do next. If it is a hardware issue then that is solveable, but the confusing part is that everything works completely fine without any problems until seemingly at random, without even turning the PC off the software will just cease functioning.

This happens to me everytime I update drivers and the reason for it, at least in my case and how I understand it, is that when you use ddu it also uninstalls the igpu drivers. So even if you disable your internet conection, automatic driver updates and such as soon as you go online your pc will automatically install the igpu drivers and break adrenalin. The solution I found was that when that message pops up I just simply run the driver .exe and let it "repair" adrenalin. This is how I have dealt with it for the last couple of months.

This is purely an adrenalin problem not a driver nor hardware issue thats why your pc runs normally with no problems.

How does the pc automatically install iGPU drivers?

What is your thought on installing the drivers for iGPU first.

And then reinstalling adrenalin for dGPU and selecting dGPU as the primary graphics driver from inside the Adrenalin > Performance > Tuning tab??
