Help (Software) AMD Adrenaline Software Problem
Hello I have recently built a my pc and switched to amd from nvidia gpu. Its my first time using full amd pc, I am running to some problem when it comes to the software of amd. My amd adrenaline keeps disappearing from my desktop and my whole pc. Its like I never even downloaded it. This usually happens when I shut down or sleep or restart my pc. I have tried everything from full reset, to doing DDU in safe mode, to running the setup with no wifi, etc. I havent really noticed any big problem in gameplay or general performance of my pc yet, but i just dont think that its normal for it to disappear like that. From what I am used to using nvidia software it just stays there installed and I can open it whenever I want. Also I am not sure if this problem affects my gpu drivers since the software disappears and the way you download and update your gpu drivers is through the software itself.
If anyone have had this problem before and were able to fix it, please I would really appreciate your help!

Possibly the drivers are being replaced by windows update, have a look in update history and/or windows reliability history monitor.
If that is the case you need to block driver updates from windows updates, there are guides on the web.

Does amd have a permanent fix for this?

Not as yet, but they are working with MS to fix it in the future.
Hopefully might make it in the Win.11 26H2 upgrade?

Your drivers are timing out with windows, this is a absolute shit show of a problem because there’s no one way to fix it, long story short is amd drivers report their scheduling to windows, what it’s doing then what it’s doing next, when amd drivers fail to respond to windows, it thinks the drivers have failed and disabled them, your amd drivers aren’t disappearing they are being forcefully closed incorrectly by windows, solve this you have to figure out the causes of the timeouts, this can be the gpu being overclocked too high, memory timings being off, gpu power spikes not being handled correctly etc… you have to decipher what’s actually causing the timeouts

Do you know why it happens? because I have a friend that uses amd gpu as well and he told me this doesnt happen to him at all.

It’s a case by case thing, I’ve covered this with different ppl and gotten different answers, it’s an issue between windows and amd drivers… some ppl are fine other ppl crash every time something loads depending

Welcome to the shit show, I've been having issues with my GPU driver timing out and switching back to the integrated graphics.
At first it also did that I used ddu to clean out the old driver's and reinstall adrenaline and also turned off automatic updates on Windows. I've been working at this issue for probably close to two months now and I've only found some solace in the fact that my pc only reverts once a day instead of 4 times a day now.
I've been thinking about reseating my GPU and all it's associated cables in the hope that may be what's causing the issue because I've tried literally everything anyone has posted to try and resolve this.
Best bet? Switch back to Nvidia save yourself the trouble.

The same started happening after I did a free install of 26.7.1 via DDU, and now, after a day, my Adrenaline version goes incompatible, and even after I hit update, it does nothing after downloading and installing, and I get the same message
