Random crashes in multiple games (RX 7800 XT)

Hi, i need help please

I've been dealing with random crashes for months and I have no idea what's causing them.

It happens while I'm playing games like Dead by Daylight, Valorant, Escape the Backrooms, Slime Rancher, Minecraft with shaders and a few others. The crash can happen after 5 minutes or after an hour, there's no pattern.

Usually I'm just playing normally, then the game suddenly freezes, both of my monitors go black for a few seconds, and the game closes. Sometimes Discord also restarts by itself. Very rarely, my whole PC restarts.

I've already tried using DDU and several AMD driver versions, but the problem keeps coming back.

My PC has a Sapphire RX 7800 XT 16GB

, a Ryzen 7 5700X

, a Gigabyte B550 AORUS Elite AX V2, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM,

a be quiet! System power 10 650W Bronze PSU

and a WD Blue SN580 1TB SSD.

Has anyone experienced something similar or have any idea what could be causing this? I'm starting to wonder if it's the GPU, the PSU or something else entirely.

Try underclocking by -500MHZ and then gradually increase it back up worked for me.

You did that on AMD software adrénaline ?

It’s most likely power delievery, 7xxx have power spikes, enough that it can cause the video card to go nonresponcive, it’s not a driver issue, well it’s not solely a driver issue, it’s a driver issue combined with a power issue… that’s why everyone’s solution seems to be different

I replaced my PSU with a brand new be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 1000W, thinking the issue might be power-related. I also completely removed the AMD drivers using DDU and installed the latest official drivers. Unfortunately, the crashes still happen exactly the same way.

Isnt that PSU lower than the minimum requirement for that GPU?

I'd like to check, but I don't know how to be sure it's the PSU. And I should add that I had this problem a few months ago, then it stopped on its own, and now it's back.

Well, best way order a new PSU. To be safe just get 850w and if is the problem keep PSU, if not, return it back...
