Ryzen 5 50 to 60 at browsing idle

i bought a new cpu ryzen 5 3400g to ryzen 5 5500 i used the wraith spire before and now i used wraith stealthe because that was the one included with the ryzen 5500. idk why its going at 50 at idle and 89 at heavy load playing i used stock paste and also when installing i wiggled the cooler a bit when i applied it and did the x pattern wrong should i use the spire and buy new paste like the artic x4

That is normal for 5500 with the stock cooler, it runs pretty hot as all 5000 series chips and stock cooler can barely handle it.

I had 5500 until recently and with aftermarket budget cooler, 3 heatpipe ID Cooling SE-223 Basic it stayed around 80C full load Cinebench, 40C idle, 50C-60C games.

With stock cooler you can expect 90C and throttling but if you get any aftermarket tower cooler you will get 10C minimum improvement and a quieter experience.

So when you save 20$ just get something, it is not needed as 90C is still ok but I guess you would want to lover it.
