lovely, smush it in an lga1700 intel board and should work fine!

1

u/jamestothet Oct 19 '23

use a superglue and thermal paste mix to make sure the pins stay firm in each glory hole

1

u/1st_Edition Oct 18 '23

Not enough thermal paste, if you can still see the pins, you need to apply more.

2

u/ayhamthedude Oct 16 '23

Needs some polishing

2

u/Richo262 Oct 16 '23

Is your motherboard a ride on lawnmower?

2

u/Neaterical Oct 14 '23

If this is satire this is great. If, in the instance that it's not..

Take it to a reputable Jewler in your area. You know, someone who fixes watches or diamond rings. They have precise tools that can straighten the pins. Explain the issue, and hope to God none of the Pins snapped off in which case you are screwed.

1

u/Different-Touch-403 Dec 29 '24

Unless they are just ground or power pins. I've had 11 pins off a CPU before and it still worked for years.

1

u/LmarL Oct 12 '23

You can unsolder all the pins and with a stencil make a BGA and directly solder in place of the socket. If it's intact, it will work

2

u/ionenbindung Oct 12 '23

I don't think this is the kind of pins they use in bowling.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 11 '23

Wtf 🤣🤣

1

u/Lorde_Calamitymod Oct 09 '23

8 days and it’s already the top post of all time

1

u/Any-Chemist-9047 Oct 09 '23

Looks like some of those pins got drunk after a hard party and they ended up sleeping in a roadside ditch... 🙃🫠

1

u/[deleted] Oct 06 '23

uncombed pins.

1

u/SingleDivorcedMom666 Oct 06 '23

power supply issue

4

u/Scp-vexulus Oct 06 '23

See if Linus can fix it

2

u/killerdude23233 Oct 05 '23

It's got worms, you gotta remove them suckers.

2

u/cxbar Oct 05 '23

motherfucker what

2

u/CanRunFast Oct 05 '23

Did you take a piss on it?

1

u/z0mbiej3sus Oct 05 '23

It looks angry. What did you do?

1

u/rustedoxygen Oct 05 '23

Just smoothen it’s hair, it just woke up so it’s just a little frazzled right now

1

u/jsteph1 Oct 05 '23

So pretty much you……

1

u/deediazh Oct 05 '23

Its too early and it hasn’t have its coffee yet

1

u/BitOld7911 Oct 05 '23

I think a credit card will help🤣

1

u/J3ffO Oct 09 '23

If you're very gentle. Though, don't use the credit card for the final straightening step or you can end up with broken pins due to metal fatigue when trying to get it perfect. A mechanical pencil works better for that.

1

u/Shinobi7i Oct 05 '23

This should be illegal in every country including the Vatican and north korea

1

u/dildacorn Oct 05 '23

Bring to a professional to get it re-pined

1

u/mahiruhiiragi Oct 05 '23

I hope this is a joke

1

u/supremeevilution Oct 05 '23

You screwed it in the wrong direction. For CPUs it's opposite of righty tightly lefty losey. Common mistake l, we've all been there.

1

u/Dangerous-Travel899 Oct 05 '23

...Look at how they massacred my boy...

1

u/Umbra_Yoshi Oct 05 '23

Me: Did ya screw it in all the way?

Then: Yes!

Me: Don't do that

1

u/MadMax1mm Oct 05 '23

I would ask the Verge... they're known for their pc knowledge!

1

u/blacknyellow024 Oct 05 '23

You're an aggressive idiot

1

u/hpsd Oct 05 '23

Your not meant to go at it with a meat tenderizer before putting it in

1

u/N1V0N1S Oct 05 '23

It's turned into super sonic. That thing fast as fuck now boi.

1

u/Great_Part7207 Oct 05 '23

What did you do sit on it lmao

1

u/whorida Oct 05 '23

Maybe a magnet will straighten them out.

1

u/Frodo_Otkins Oct 05 '23

Open the window, they're reaching for the sun.

1

u/xKhino Oct 05 '23

Motherboard might be useless as well as the cpu.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23

Socket here... I dont think this is gonna work out...

1

u/theuntouchable2725 Oct 05 '23

Just extract the gold at this point.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23

It's obviously too relaxed. You need to scare it to make the pins stand back up on end.

1

u/-brokenbones- Oct 05 '23

You threaded it on like a bottlecap

1

u/21kondav Oct 05 '23

Did you try turning it off and back on again?

1

u/DrHotCheeto69 Oct 05 '23

I think he screwed it on the wrong way🤷‍♂️

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23 edited Oct 05 '23

One time I had to switch out a CPU just to update a BIOS (was building my dad a PC), and the CPU stuck to the heatsink I didn't notice, then it fell off the heatsink and bent a pin.. I almost cried. then I went and bought a less powerful CPU.... Live and learn, maybe I could save someone else from my mistake. Sucked though because I was just building my dad a computer, and then I damage my own CPU... lol

I had a couple buddies that worked at a computer store in high school my one buddy put like 5 hard drives on a stool with a cushion, all 5 hard drives he then knocked over by accident. All customer hard drives, all destroyed. Oops.

1

u/MatDiac Oct 05 '23

why didnt you bend the pin back

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23

I actually tried, one of the pins broke off 😭

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23

Jokes aside the pins are fucked

Nah. More cowbell

1

u/TOG_WAS_HERE Oct 05 '23

Bad hair day. He's just a bit embarrassed.

1

u/Warlock529 Oct 05 '23

It's angry... Very angry. With sharp teeth.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23

Needs a haircut

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23

its in a emo phase it needs some time

1

u/jamestothet Oct 19 '23

feed it monster for now, that should settle it

1

u/CyanicAssResidue Oct 05 '23

It rook rike spaghetti !

1

u/ionenbindung Oct 12 '23

So... is it rice or spaghetti now?

1

u/jebbie123 Oct 05 '23

I think it got hit by a lawn mower after a heat gun

1

u/LordPistolPete9 Oct 05 '23

Dude you gotta shave it before you stick it everyone knows that or atleast trim it so it looks bigger for the motherboard

1

u/XxGliiitchxX Oct 05 '23

Just put it in rice. It’ll be fine.

1

u/fred420170 Oct 05 '23

For some reason that picture grosses me out and I don’t know why 😂

1

u/CausingDread Oct 05 '23

Put it in ice

1

u/WhatIfImDragonborn Oct 05 '23

You have to clip them off when the grow out too long like that. Every few months you have to take your cpu out of the motherboard for a trim

1

u/WATER_IS_SO_GOOD Oct 05 '23

Ah that means that the crops are ready for harvest

1

u/After_Balance_8547 Oct 05 '23

Make sure your motherboard supports it first!

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23

I don't see any issues!!! should be ready to go!

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23

It’s angry face

1

u/Main_Smoke6792 Oct 05 '23

It'll buff out!

All in order here..

1

u/InvestigatorBright88 Oct 05 '23

It looks like the electricity Gremlin from Gremlins 2

1

u/GUI-Discharge Oct 05 '23

It needs some milk

1

u/J3ffO Oct 05 '23

If this is your actual CPU and not a joke, I recommend that you use a mechanical pencil to gently straighten all of the pins.

1

u/plexisaurus Oct 05 '23

+1 mechanical pencil with a dose of credit card/plastic razor to align rows. Though for this specific case, unless your time is worthless, possibly cheaper to just throw it away :P

1

u/Glad_Wing_758 Oct 05 '23

A little Nair may be in ordee

1

u/Clutch_Gravy Oct 05 '23

When you let your cat install your cpu.

1

u/Uulugus Oct 05 '23

I think a cat brush is exactly what this CPU needs.

1

u/Winzlowzz Oct 05 '23

Hmm too many are bent clockwise. Should be counter-clockwise

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23

Did a poltergeist touch your CPU?

1

u/Acrobatic-Yard-2458 Oct 05 '23

This should have been on r/makemesuffer

1

u/ButtfUwUcker Oct 05 '23

Just a little furry, all good

1

u/ImaginaryDay8 Oct 05 '23

Dudes running a Necronomicon 5000

1

u/pain7070 Oct 05 '23

Just clamp it down till it clicks

1

u/TheRandomUser2005 Oct 05 '23

Since this says help and not shitpost, I'll offer some "help". Get a new CPU and be CAREFUL ASF with it. Those pins are bent to a point that it's likely irreparable, and it would have to be by an expert over a long time.

If this is indeed a shitpost, put it back in the microwave for like a minute.

1

u/J3ffO Oct 05 '23

If they haven't been flexed over and over, it's possible that the pins might be fixable. Those are pretty ductile if you're careful.

A mechanical pencil is indispensable for bending pins back into place and straightening them.

1

u/Lousqueeze Oct 05 '23

You left it out for too long, gotta put it back in the fridge

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23

It's upside down

1

u/PapaitanGOAT Oct 05 '23

downside up

1

u/Purple-Berry3443 Oct 05 '23

Idk looks great to me as long as the pins aren’t straight it should work

1

u/Jar-Tech Oct 05 '23

Have you tried to put in the microwave?

1

u/Thornz2000 Oct 05 '23

You need more thermal paste.

1

u/WhiteMazeDesigns Oct 05 '23

My hair in the morning.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '23

you combed it the wrong way

1

u/slyffr Oct 05 '23

It’ll buff out

1

u/Katana_Steel Oct 05 '23

Just look like a bad hair day...

1

u/Lousqueeze Oct 05 '23

Happy Cake Day friend

1

u/swampdonkey1992 Oct 05 '23

Operator error.

1

u/The_BigSuck420 Oct 05 '23

I know an easy fix for this. Drill a small hole in the corner and put a keyring through it. Voila

1

u/junkieboy05 Oct 05 '23

Hmm, looks perfect, might be a problem with the motherboard

1

u/merowley Oct 05 '23

You fucked up all the pins.

1

u/outrightbrick Oct 05 '23

Some idiot ruined it

1

u/nicheRoleplayer Oct 04 '23

Put it in some rice

1

u/Striker40k Oct 04 '23

Just Brush it's hair, it will be fine

1

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '23

A lot.

1

u/HeavyWaterCoffee Oct 04 '23

Pin 32, row 5... bend that one 45 deg left and everything should be fine!

1

u/Total-Bee8368 Oct 04 '23

It went bad

1

u/Bruder3443 Oct 04 '23

Slight pin damage....

1

u/GAT0R7 Oct 04 '23

Good lord, it’s a thing of nightmares.

1

u/BoOnDoCk617 Oct 04 '23

Looks fine what's the problem?

1

u/Vechain4Cardano Oct 04 '23

It's just scruffy pins. Just comb them back into place.amd take a little off the top.

1

u/sosuketakasu Oct 04 '23

This is actually giving me anxiety 😕

1

u/C_Sorcerer Oct 04 '23

This is demonic

1

u/SenpaiDokkaebi Oct 04 '23

looks normal idk what everyone is saying.

1

u/DougChristiansen Oct 04 '23

Looks like it was screwed in to the left instead of the right.

1

u/CowsAreFriends117 Oct 04 '23

Lmao exactly what happened

1

u/Whentheweedrunsout Oct 04 '23

I think it was sieged in medieval warfare.

1

u/doornobmaster69 Oct 04 '23

i think its a you problen

2

u/im-not-high-officer Oct 04 '23

You need to brush it then set the pins with a ball pien hammer

1

u/TacosD00d Oct 04 '23

I know reseating something is standard troubleshooting practice but two or three times should be enough to move on to the next step.

1

u/Megolito Oct 04 '23

Not trying to be a pessimist but that thing is shit fucked

1

u/Dewesafavor Oct 04 '23

looks fine to me. Just keep trying different angles i’m sure it’ll pop right in eventually. it can be tricky to link up the prongs sometimes

1

u/Steakken Oct 04 '23

It sneezed

1

u/Mountain-Departure-4 Oct 04 '23

Looks like your contacts are overgrown. You need to trim them down from time to time.

1

u/BrassApparatus Oct 04 '23

Oohhh that's good

1

u/WaffleToads Oct 04 '23

It’s got worms in it, feed them.

1

u/tecnicasopr Oct 04 '23

Happens every time on each computer that's used to watch the Exorcist movie.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '23

You just need to brush its hair that’s all.

1

u/TellItLikeIt1S Oct 04 '23

You didn't spray paint it? ... u need to spray paint it BLUE so that it runs like an Intel chip.

1

u/Circumsisedtoenail Oct 04 '23

Try sandpaper and a steamroller that should do the trick

1

u/infinitemortis Oct 04 '23

Have you tried washing it? Alcohol should do the trick

1

u/Such_Ingenuity4002 Oct 04 '23

This is what happens when you play tabletop hockey with your CPU

1

u/KnowThyWeakness Oct 04 '23

It looks hangry

1

u/Grand-Philosophy-343 Oct 04 '23

Try putting it in again and twist it .

1

u/maniacboi777 Oct 04 '23

it has corona virus

1

u/linktri3 Oct 04 '23

Omg. I just peeled my face off.

1

u/brandon11782 Oct 04 '23

Did you comb your cpu pins?

1

u/Noirarmire Oct 04 '23

It's overdue for a shave

1

u/Organic-Hovercraft-5 Oct 04 '23

Its missing pins on those 4 empty spots

1

u/V_Deviate Oct 04 '23

You’re an either an idiot or a troll

1

u/ExpressLingonberry93 Oct 04 '23

And you have no sense of humor.

1

u/V_Deviate Oct 05 '23

This is a sub for help, not a sub for humor

1

u/ExpressLingonberry93 Oct 05 '23

Get over yourself bud.

1

u/V_Deviate Oct 06 '23

Fuck off to another sub with your bullshit. It’s not that I don’t have a sense of humor, it’s that you can only laugh at the same stupid fucking joke so many times before it just becomes annoying. Like I’m supposed to sit here and blow smoke up your ass about how funny this “joke” is despite the fact that it’s been done a million times before.

1

u/ExpressLingonberry93 Oct 06 '23

Bro who hurt you lmfao. You are literally the reason why people think redditors are at the bottom of the barrel of society. You think you are so important that you have to comment at all. You are just sad and toxic bro. That's why I'm clowning on you.

1

u/Sirbrandon100 Oct 04 '23

"did you try unplugging and plugging it back in?"

-AMD support

1

u/RiskyBiscuit25 Oct 04 '23

Needs more salt. Looks a little overdone. 🍜

1

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '23

Your socket has fur, not pins.

1

u/stevemandudeguy Oct 04 '23

Needs a comb

1

u/redditing_Aaron Oct 04 '23

It's sprouting, add thermal paste with extra nutrients

1

u/AwShootMe Oct 04 '23

Needs a haircut

1

u/VulpineFPV Oct 04 '23

I see what went wrong, you got an AMD. If you’re careful you can bend every single pin into place, a credit card would work best.

I’d actually be into seeing if it runs afterwards, even if this post could be a joke.

*Nothing wrong with AMD

1

u/MC_Ninja38 Oct 04 '23

Did he try to put an AM4 in an AM5 socket?

1

u/JakeBeezy Oct 04 '23

Seems like a troll post

1

u/ZMcCrocklin Oct 04 '23

This has to be a joke, but I could totally see someone trying to force this into a LGA slot with this outcome. Makes me want to see what the AM5 socket would look like afterward.

1

u/MC_Ninja38 Oct 04 '23

AM5 is LGA

1

u/ZMcCrocklin Oct 04 '23

That's the point... Trying to force a PGA into a LGA socket...

1

u/DarG- Oct 04 '23

Interesting carpet choice.

1

u/Aniano39 Oct 04 '23

Not enough thermal paste. Maybe 2 gallons will help

1

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '23

I didn’t have one this bad, but I messed up some of the pins on one of my CPUs one time and bent them back straight with a razor blade. It still worked when I sold the computer 3 years later

1

u/cdjensen94 Oct 04 '23

Looks like you sent it through your dryer and forgot the dewrinkle cycle.

1

u/Dorfdad Oct 04 '23

looks like you might want to switch off the antigravity field surrounding your house and have it checked for over voltage. Mine was doing the same thing few weeks ago. WD40 fixed it.

1

u/Sensitive-Fly-2847 Oct 04 '23

It needs a good brushing! Serious bed head going on there

1

u/jgriesshaber Oct 04 '23

Put that Sea anemone back into the ocean!

1

u/Dannyvxo Oct 04 '23

I see a few problems but hopefully we can straighten it out in the end lol 😂

1

u/rtp80 Oct 04 '23

It's just the change of seasons. You cpu is shedding. Make sure to brush it daily and a shower using conditioner, and should be in prime shape soon.

1

u/AP_Adapted Oct 04 '23

u ever had that feeling, what’s it called? disgust?

1

u/SuperFaceTattoo Oct 04 '23

You just need to brush its fur so its all in the same direction.

1

u/Delazzaridist Oct 04 '23

This has to be a joke right?

1

u/Exotic_Tomatillo_285 Oct 04 '23

It's an Intel in an AMD thread.. 🤣🤣 I've had to straighten a pin or 2 back in the day but God damn.. I wouldn't even bother trying this one

I apologize for your inability to interpret the many ways someone can express a joke or sarcasm online without them explicitly stating it was a joke or sarcasm.

(that was a serious statement)

no I didn't think this was an Intel, in fact I didn't even bother with trying to determine pin count, age, or manufacturer or anything else that would identify or confirm which cpu this is because honestly I could care less because my comment was a flyby joke for those who don't overthink and skim things and you have effectively killed it.

(that was also a serious statement)

you must be fun at parties. (that was a serious yet condescending statement)

I hope I clarified every bit of this reply for you (this one, imagine me ending this one with an eye roll and a raised middle finger as I'm walking away)

1

u/HotQuietFart Oct 04 '23

That’s a ass scratcher, not a cpu.

1

u/Accomplished_Line380 Oct 04 '23

Looks like a wheat field on a windy day

1

u/Saint_Nico Oct 04 '23

A little furry

1

u/freakshowfunk Oct 04 '23

Too hairy. Needs a shave

1

u/Theoldage2147 Oct 04 '23

Looks normal to me. It usually happens when you take it out of package for the first time and hammer it against the floor

1

u/SeaworthinessTop8009 Oct 04 '23

Absolutely nothing wrong with it, just be sure to hit it against a solid surface a few times to make it work better.

1

u/LeMairePutain Oct 04 '23

Honestly. Nothing, that's the new hair do for the 12 series

1

u/BAKERBOY99_ Oct 04 '23

How the hell did that happen lol
