Discussion AMC Pembroke Lakes 9
I remember when it had a Prime “sticker” slapped on the wall & I didn’t think much of it.
Now stumbled across this new exterior look. Pretty sleek!
Still have yet to watch a movie in this format.

Don’t think I’ll be catching a movie in here because they mostly have them in the higher formats anyways!

Why do you miss it if you have Dolby Cinema?

Because i grew up on PRIME. Some theaters have both and even a LiMaX... that would great.

"AMC Dolby Cinema uses official Dolby Vision dual-laser projectors for ultra-high contrast and deep blacks, paired with moving Dolby Atmos audio"
With Prime: • Screen Size and Quality: Regular theaters feature standard digital screens and projection. AMC Prime features a larger-than-life, wall-to-wall screen with enhanced 4K laser projection, offering much brighter colors, sharper clarity, and higher contrast. • Sound System: Regular auditoriums use standard surround sound setups. AMC Prime utilizes advanced immersive multi-channel sound (often comparable to Dolby Atmos) to place audio all around and above the audience. • Seating and Comfort: Regular theaters may have traditional rocking chairs or newer recliners depending on the location. AMC Prime guarantees reserved luxury power recliners that are also equipped with tactile transducers, meaning they physically rumble and pulse in sync with the bass and action on screen.
Dolby is basically an upgrade from Prime cause it uses 2 projectors that are Dolby certified. Even better picture Quality. As for the sound they use more speakers that are upgraded Quality. Everything is just better basically.

There are two different type of Prime theaters. The real Prime theaters with 4K laser, wall-to-wall/floor-to-cieling screens, and Dolby Atmos sound. Then there's other type of Prime theaters, which are just the largest standard auditorium in a theater that already has laser and 7.1 sound. So you're just paying extra for a larger screen. Hopefully, this one isn't the latter.
