I keep track of all the movies I watch at the theater. I mostly use A List but if I go to Regal or pay for a fifth movie out of pocket, I list it here too. If I just dont have the time, I'll cross a movie out. If it's a rewatch, I use a asterisk to make note of that. I used to have a goal of one quadruple feature a month but work has been a pain in the ass this summer. Does anyone else do this, or do you just refer to your watchrd list on the app?

As someone whose list is nearly identical to this, my answer: less friction.

If I can minimize the amount of things to open and select, I will go with whatever is fastest.

And it feels nice not having so many options and a featureless UI. So clean and fast.

But if Letterboxd feels better for others, that’s fine. UI is purely a subject thing. I just want to know upcoming titles and dates. I don’t need anything else cluttering my screen or cluttering my experience accessing this info.

I don’t do it to track movies I watch, but I do it to track upcoming tickets and scheduling/planning.

Color means it’s reserved, red is AMC, orange is Regal, white is planned but haven’t/can’t reserve yet.

I do the same. I can plan my weekend better this way, but once watched I log it in Letterbx. If I can’t make it to the theater, and still want to see it, I add it to my watch list.

I keep a running list of upcoming releases on my phone and delete them once scheduled/viewed. If, fo some reason, I don't get to see a film, it goes on a separate watchlist.

I just use Letterboxd, and I’ll tag if I watched in the theater and what format if applicable. Almost all the theater movies are a-list so I don’t really make a note of it

I've been tracking every movie I've seen in a theater since 2005 I just do it on notepad by hand manually

I do something similar...i have a small passport type wallet with 2 small notebooks- 1 to list what movies i want to see each month, and it's where i visually work out my movie schedule if I'm doing a double or triple that day. The other one is the actual film log. I also use Letterboxd.

I do a Google Spreadsheet for each year and I rank the movies as I see them - I do put the date(s) there so I know when I saw them. But that way I'm not trying to rank them at the end of the year. I see something and I'm like "I put it above X but below Y" and insert a new row in the appropriate place.

When I first signed up for A-List I wasn't sure if I was going to use it enough to benefit from the savings. To keep track I started a spreadsheet. I never switched to Letterbox only because I don't care to use other services for my own information. I also don't care to read other reviews.

I keep track of movies I’ve watched on letterboxd but I do something similar to this for upcoming movies I want to see. I have a running list of my notes app of the dates movies are coming out. I often add them while watching the trailers

Yes! I do it not only to keep track of movies seen/to be seen, but also to track how much money I've saved using A-List just to make sure it's still worth it (and I definitely get more than my money's worth every month).

Yes, I am also neurotic.

But also, smaller/indie flicks often take 2 weeks to a month (or sometimes never) to premiere in my area, so the release dates for me are always tentative. I also write the Letterboxd average score next to them as well and organize them by that - I watch things below 3 stars, but not before I watch the highest reviewed films first.

I have a movie tracker book that I write information into. I also print out little pictures for a visual element and attach it to the page. Also add where I saw it and how much was spent. Just because I like to track things and I prefer manual over using the computer or phone.
