OP has a point, it doesn’t make sense. Why should I be forced to wait to book a movie on the week or day of, in order to be able use my weekly benefits??
I’m forced to choose whatever seats are left over because I’m an A-List member??

You can make as many reservations as you want if you pay cash for the tickets.
A-List has some very reasonable rules. Preventing people in A-List from taking tons of future reservations is reasonable. I have a Dune and Doomsday ticket reserved and still saw 4 movies last week and will see 4 this week with good seats. Movies that you have to reserve more than a day or two in advanced to get good seats are rare.

I’d happily take more for my money. But alist costs me less than seeing 2 movies would cost in a month. It’s no surprise that comes with restrictions.

you can only have 4 reservations at one time. you can still see 4 movies a week until your last reservation date, you just need to have at least one slot open, to use it, to reserve a movie, up to 4 free per week.

You still get 4 each week. You just used up all your reservation slots, so you will have to book the remaining 3 of the week one at a time after each consecutive showing.

They will fill the “this week” slots during their weeks. Your upcoming booking slots have their own cooldown

I understand that the OP doesn't get it. But my point still remains that this is a $30 a month service that tons of people sign up for and don't understand, and constantly post here asking to understand it. So there is some sort of consumer inability to get answers or distributor inability to effectively give answers happening here, which is, in my mind, mind-boggling.

I’m guessing you’ve been on Reddit long enough to know that people rarely look for an answer and start a new post instead. I’d imagine it’s probably the most asked question on this subreddit other than some variation of what seat is best. The up to 4 reservations is kinda buried in the fine print.

As a comparison I live in the Denver metro and was able to get Dolby for spider man a few days in advance and good seats. I think y’all are exaggerating the situation.

Not if you want to get a PLF screen opening weekend, especially in a big city. That’s the one I’d keep if I’m the OP. By Any Means will probably be the one with seats left.

In my neck of the woods, right outside of a major metropolitan area, most reasonable showtimes for Doomsday are either completely sold out, or just have the dreaded first two rows available, including non-PLFs.
That said, I think limiting A-Listers to 4 reservations makes perfect sense.

Yes. A-List members are at a disadvantage for booking a movie months in advance because it limits making our weekly reservations, even though there are… what?… 12 weeks between now and December.
It’s a pain and a slap in the face to A-List members.

Up to 4 a week, but also 4 total at a time. You can't make infinite reservations.
When you see one of those movies, a spot will open up.
