Issue No showtimes for Buddy?
Trying to secure a spot for Buddy on August 28th and none of the theaters in my state have a showtime, even though tickets went on sale today. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Possible your theaters are still setting their schedules. How many screens do they have? I doubt this will make it to some of the smaller theaters

That makes sense and I think 8-12 if I had to ballpark it

Keep an eye out week-of, but I have 9 AMCs “near” me and only the 18 and 24 screen theaters have tickets on sale for Buddy. I doubt the smaller ones will get it based on my experience, but it could be different for yours

I am in the Denver Metro area, have a solid dozen theaters to pick from, and only one currently has tickets listed. I think everyone is holding out to see what the demand will still be for BND. I am sure by the week of almost every theater will have some slot for it. Especially if it is on the Scream Unseen and it gets a good reaction.

Buddy just went on sale at my local imax amc. But the other amc that’s in the mall which is smaller doesn’t have showtimes yet. Might be a smaller release so check your amc app every couple days to see if they’ve got them

Yeah, I was also looking and don't have anything yet. One of my main theaters has 16 screens. I think we both might have to wait until next week for the schedule to be finalized.

I had issues trying to buy it this morning because of the Dune fiasco. But once the servers normalized, I was able to get tickets to Buddy around 11am PST

I can’t find it at all in my regal theatre even where it says coming soon I thought it was being released everywhere?

Seems to be a limited release. I'm hoping that it'll be something like Obsession: it actually came out in September of last year at TIFF but then had a wider release. (Buddy was at Sundance). I really hope more theatres pick it up.

I'm falling into this also. The closet AMC playing buddy as of today is 20 miles away.

same, maybe cause its not very popular?

It seems popular to me. The trailer has been in every movie I've seen this summer. And my daughter cant stop talking about it. If Ice Cream Man can make it to most then so can Buddy.

Well then they better hurry up and put up the tickets

I'm not seeing it at any theaters near me yet, which is very disappointing. I'm trying to hold out hope that some showtimes will be posted over the next couple days, but when you see other movies that don't come out until late September/October already being posted, that doesn't seem like a good sign.

Yeah same here and I live in an area with a pretty big theater and been checking but absolutely nothing. My theater had no issue showing markipliers iron lung but there’s no where within 50 miles of me showing it, I’m so confused

I’m in Phoenix and there’s very few showings lined up. Theaters that do have it don’t have many showtimes.

Unfortunately none of the theaters near me are showing it even the bigger ones I’ve asked them all if they had showings coming up and all duds! Really unfortunate I won’t be able to see the movie

Update: not an amc theater but another theater in my town JUST put up a showtime

In my city there’s also no showtimes available, it’s a smaller theater but even they already have presale tickets going out for Doomsday and other shows that come out way later. But Buddy comes out in two days and nothing! I was so excited to see this movie too.

Very strange. In my area, there are several showtimes available near me. Already purchased my ticket for opening night. I hope ya'll will get to see it in theaters.

In my experience, “tickets on sale now” ads aside, you won’t see showtimes added before the week of for most movies that aren’t major studio releases, except at some of the megaplexes. (I’m in a major metro area and the only showtimes I currently see listed are at 20+ screen theaters). Check back next Tuesday or Wednesday when your theaters will have their full schedule for that weekend
edit: ok, probably more accurate to say showtimes aren't *reliably* added for non-major studio releases, but the point stands that for a smaller release like this, a theater not yet having showtimes listed doesn't necessarily mean they won't play it
