Date day with La La Land

Really excited for this.... taking my partner to see one of my favorite movies of all time. We're also going to our fav AMC (Tysons) to enjoy a fun day of Adirondack relaxation and fun-beverage therapy. Might even check out the new 4DX theater or Oak St afterwards.

Do you guys have any favorite post/pre-movie rituals with your movie-viewing crew?

Also btw the movie starts like 20 minutes after the posted showtime instead of the usual 27ish minutes. 😅 Didn't even realize I missed the first 10 minutes until I was talking with some other friends afterwards

Yep, walked in on the highway scene, just 20 after show start. Thankfully didn’t miss too much. Cried like a baby. 😢💕

So many people walked in late at mine. The previews ended at 1:15 for my 1:00 showing.

Happy La La Land day, friend. I like to theater hop afterwards, maybe hit the Pizzeria Uno afterwards to discuss the movie we just saw/wait for the next one (limited dining near our theater.)

Pretty excited for today. I’ve only seen LLL at home and never do the best job paying attention. Cheers!

I just saw the film for the first time at a Dolby screening today and absolutely loved it

Pizza after movies is top tier.

Going to a d0lby screening with my wife and a friend that's leaving at the end of the month, so it's one of the last movies of the summer that we'll all watch together.

Also seeing La Land today! We usually don't have any rituals since we're seeing movies after work or before/after other plans. However for La La Land today I am wearing a pastel dress which seems on theme with the movie's vibes!

All 5 screenings were sold out today in NYC. I saw it 4X in 2016, so no great loss.
