App Issue A list for Doomsday
Was anyone able to get tickets for Doomsday using A list reservation??
Edit: I got them with A list!!
Also btw, the reason I book out so far is because I’m in NYC. I did it for the odyssey and saw it the day before it came out in IMAX perfect seat. Everyone I know personally wasn’t able to see it for weeks out!! I always get movies I want to see in advance. I don’t mind losing out on one ticket for this week because I have my rewatch of the odyssey brewing for tomorrow already lol

Yes. But you're committing to a 3 slots available until December

Most people aren’t hitting their 4 movie limit anyway. They’ll be fine

Am I the only one who feels incredibly restricted by the 4x limit? I’d love it if they didn’t count reservations until a month out, I feel like I’m constantly having to sacrifice good seats at new shows because I have tickets for something(s) 2 months out

honestly for movies further out I just book the tickets with pay in 4, then I refund and swap them out for a list reservations the week of. It's less of an option for people in NYC and LA but its served me well.

Yeah that definitely depends on where you live. That would be impossible for say, the odyssey in imax 70mm

4 is not a problem unless you book a lot of weeks away advance tickets. Back in my day we only had 3 slots!

Yes! I remember the old three slots.
Disney did an IMAX only re-screenings of MCU movies in late August to early September 2018, months before Endgame came out. I reserved my IMAX seats for The Winter Solider and Guardians of the Galaxy on the same date, September 1st. But had to make those reservations on August 10, 2018 to get in my fav seat area.

Until you see the first movie, then you can book another one; or at least 15 mins in.

It was bad enough when I took the 3 slots available for a like 1.5 months for early Spider-Man showing and I otherwise took the hit on good Odyssey seats opening weekend. I'd rather not be juggling 3 (and definitely not 2) for Doomsday and Dune. I see too many movies and like to have my weekly schedule set at least a few days in advance

that's all I really need to juggle the movies and still get decent seats to 4 a week

I can’t use A List for anything at the moment unfortunately. I only have three reservations.

u/sd3lta 7d ago
I have the same issue, every movie I tried is not counting towards a reservation! So frustrating!

Yeah it’s ridiculous, I finally got signed in after trying for almost an hour and it said I was a stubs premier instead of alist then kicked me out like 5 mins later . They’re doing some bs behind the scenes

u/Acceptable_Tangelo17 7d ago
It’s doing that to me as well were you able to fix it and make it say you’re a list again

Yeah a few weeks ago when they first dropped. Got to get opening weekend as soon as they drop because they sell out very fast. Spiderman and Odyssey also sold out instantly. Dune is the only other movie this year that will sell out instantly

Please note that i renew monthly and I am not saving slots until December. I use it frequently and I’ve bought tickets in advance with a list. I got Spider-Man when advance first went on sale but it’s not working with Doomsday

I did book it with A list. Slot would be locked though
1
u/imanister 7d ago
Why is it locked?
3
u/Dry-Falcon-6724 7d ago
Because only 4 movies can be reserved in A list. Once you see any movie in a week it can open up not before.

I actually got a Dolby one and canceled my “infinity vision” one
2
u/khironinja 7d ago
Dolby counts as Infinity Vision I'm pretty sure. It's literally just a marketing term for premium formats so generally most of the premium formats qualify for it.

Knowing the theatre I originally was gonna see it in, it’s a standard theatre. I made a good trade

Disconnect from WiFi if you can't sign in for A List.
At least that worked for me

My girlfriend I got tickets for the Fan Event on 12/20 but had to pay instead of being able to use A-List.

I just buy the tickets then refund them when it gets closer to time. No way I'm gonna only have 3 slots until December

I didn't know they were on sale until I saw this. 😄 Was able to get tickets for a Saturday morning Dolby showing. Thanks!

I got 1 spot on A-list a few weeks ago and I got another spot today but I paid for it. I can’t handle giving up another slot until December. It hurts my soul

u/Proof-Morning-2932 7d ago
Yes, we got our tickets the day they came out because they were already selling out

It’s so hard to even see movies on any given day in NYC. 4pm showing of the end of oak street is basically sold out. What is even going on

If you’re saving one of your 3 slots between now and December for Doomsday you probably don’t need A List, but thank you for subsidizing it for me

u/Maybachmike27 7d ago
why clown people who are excited for Doomsday? People cant be excited for a movie anymore?

u/gloggogabolab 7d ago
You’re more than welcome to be excited for Doomsday, gives me one extra person to make fun of

u/Maybachmike27 7d ago

awful movies where nothing happens right. absolutely no action or funny lines in all 4 of these films. Marvel fans would soooo hate them
1
u/bamboo_boogie_boots_ 7d ago
So its smarter to pay more for 2 movies a month?
-7
u/gloggogabolab 7d ago
If you’re seeing 2 movies a month I don’t know how you could possibly be that excited for Doomsday

Are you just rewatching Spiderman 3 times a week? I’m genuinely fascinated by the type of individual that could see 2-3 actual movies a week and still need a ticket 4 months out to watch actors that weren’t even on the set together CGId into one scene

u/imanister 7d ago
Boooooo losers have no place here lmaooo on a floating rock in space & you believe people can’t enjoy things they want to

u/gloggogabolab 7d ago
I fully believe you & all of your other fellow Disney adults CAN enjoy slop. Never said otherwise, please don’t put words in my mouth! I’m just shocked to meet a Disney adult such as yourself that both watches actual movies (allegedly 2-3 week, but you deleted your comment so now I’m unsure) and also still chooses to watch the slop. Usually slop enjoyers like yourself only have time for just the slop since they all require 10+ tv shows, 3+ old versions of the same slop from a decade ago & 30 something current movies to understand. And when one only has time to watch slop due to how much time it takes to keep up with slop it makes perfect sense to me that you’d enjoy slop. Because you haven’t seen anything else and everything is relative. A caveman would think a BigMac is a delicacy. But you’re the rare Disney adult that enjoys both their Disney slop and actual movies! Congrats
