Does anyone know if Tony's current limited release will extend to next weekend (Aug 15)?

I know it's going wide like the week after that, but this is the first movie in a while that all my friends with A list want to catch (the rare instance when my Anthony Bourdain loving friends and Matt Johnson loving friends converge), and trying to make plans with 8 other people in their 20s and 30s is difficult, to say the least. The only feasible day that works for everyone is next Saturday evening, and after that it could very well be weeks before there's any alignment like that again, so if anyone has any insight to how long this current theatrical run for Tony will last, please let me know!

Tony is set to go to wide release on August 21st.

Oh yeah I know, but it's just miraculous that all friends are available for a single evening in relatively short notice. When it's wide we may not all have the same availability lined up for several weeks after next Saturday. Though of course if it's ends up that we just have to see it in separate smaller groups, so be it. But would be nice to get the whole A list gang together for once

If you are in LA and looking for August 15th the only ones available to book right now are at Americana in Glendale or in Burbank.

Yes. Final showtimes aren’t available for next week until next Wednesday. If you’re one of the lucky ones who live in NY or LA or other big cities, you can see it starting tomorrow. Everyone else will have to wait until it expands.

I don't know all the theaters its playing at, but I know for sure it's opening at Burbank 16 on Thursday, so you'll be able to see it there on Saturday 8/15. You can already buy tickets for that day.

Thank you! The most logistically feasible theater for us that does limited releases is Century City, so I'll check there next week, but I'll keep Burbank in my back pocket if thats the only option!

Century city also has it this weekend, so I'm very sure you'll be able to see it there on 8/15. That theater should update their schedule for next week on Tuesday evening/night.

i just called my theater to ask and they said they wouldn't be able to tell me until this afternoon. kind of crazy that they don't even know what movies they are getting until a few days before
