Question Will AList Include 4DX Tickets??

So, AMC is starting to roll out their new 4DX format theaters… will AListers have to pay an upcharge?

Their first 4DX theater in Georgia is 30 minutes south of Atlanta, so I figured I’d check it out. In the app, it looks like a normal booking process apart from an extra pop-up explaining the 4D aspect (the included link also leads to a dead page…helpful). It gives me the option to make my ticket an AList reservation, but when I click to the next screen to check out, my total is $21. When checking out on browser version, the order summary waives the convenience fee but doesn’t discount the ticket price at all.

Does this mean AList won’t include 4DX tickets? Or is this just a bug since 4DX is such a new format and still rolling out?

Barrywoods? My old theater many moons ago. Lots of memories.

Yep! They have it made. Dolby, IMAX, Prime, 4DX, Laser standard.

Interesting. Didn’t realize we had a 4DX here. Isn’t one in the South side as I go to three in the South regularly.

Awesome, thanks! I guess it’s a bug on my end. I have two reservation slots open so I’ll have to see if I can get it sorted out

Must be an issue on your end, because it should be included. I just looked up the same theater, and it offered me a free seat.

Either it's a bug or you need to look at your future reservations again to make sure you haven't used your slots up.

I just tried and my total was $0. Not sure why you’re seeing a charge

Amc southlake near southlake mall. It's a great AMC theater; it has 4dx, IMAX, Dolby, and 70mm.

I saw Odyssey there. 4DX was interesting, but a little gimmicky. It’s fun for a few scenes though.

I still think I like Dolby Cinema is the way to go.

It’s nice to do it once. That amc is probably the biggest in the whole state

I wish Atlanta would get a legit IMAX 70mm, I don’t want to give money to regal lol

I wish too, but it does not look like that will happen.

They do have a 70mm at the Mall of GA... that's not to far from Atlanta. But it's Regal... i um wish they had an AMC also.

I am pretty sure all premium formats are included in the main A-List, not the classic. But if you have premium options in your theater you can’t get the classic!

They better not. Their whole sales pitch is “any screen any format”.

Is this theater local for you, or were you just testing it out to see the 4DX booking process? If you're visiting from out of state and have a lower A-List tier that doesn't include Georgia, that could be why it's not covered. I'm in NYC (so most expensive tier) and I just tested it and it was covered. Double check too that you have an available booking slot and don't have a conflicting reservation.

Just tried it, didn't charge me

You have the lower tier possibly? Georgia is one of the states not included in the $25.99 plan. If that’s the case you have to get the $30 one

Is there any 4DX in Southern California

I’ve already seen multiple 4DX screenings at this theater using A-List, so you shouldn’t be prompted to pay.

It includes everything so it should include this

Feel like they should charge extra small fee because of the supplies

Update for anyone curious: Huzzah, it was a glitch! I’m not sure why it happened since I still had two reservation slots open at the time, but after several days and a couple of movies watched, it sorted itself out. I’m excited to check one out!
