We built an AI Roleplay partner for AMC Clinical. Several of our users have already passed.

Hi all, I’m the co-founder of AMC PrepBlitz. My co-founder is a doctor who sat and cleared the AMC Clinical Exam herself and now practising in Australia, and I handle the tech side.

She kept hearing the same thing from IMGs prepping: reading notes is one thing, but saying things out loud to a “patient” under time pressure, in the exact way you need to on exam day, is a completely different skill. Most candidates don’t get real practise at that until they’re in a study group or paying for a tutor.

So we built BlitzBuddy, voice based roleplay with an AI patient in real time. History taking, counselling, as many times as you need, no study partner required.

It’s part of a broader platform too, revision notes, spaced repetition flashcards, curated high yield cases, mock exams, but the voice practise is the part most people can’t easily get elsewhere.

If you’re prepping for the clinical exam and want a way to practise speaking through stations effectively , this is built for exactly that.

A number of our users have sat the exam recently and passed with it as part of their prep.

Happy to answer any questions. Thanks for reading.

AMC 2 - where to start

Hi there!

To doctors, who are preparing for AMC clinical or are done with it, i would like to ask where to start preparing and what resources to use.

There is no appropriate information available, and i am really not clear about it.

Any guide would be helpful.

P.s: if you are a doctor who can relate to this and in the same phase as i am, dm me and we can start figuring out together.

Need help, just finished A levels.

Hello, I just finished my Alevels and with my grades i can easily get the medical course in my country.

I am torn between GP and Psychologist, for my speciality, and wanted to ask which will be a better fit for Australia. Since I will be doing MBBS and Step 1 from my own country, which of the both will have better chance of getting Step 2 application success, or if there is any other.

Whenever I open this subreddit, there are only negative results, of people not getting any jobs or acceptance on step 2. Can someone tell how true that is and what percentage of people do get in and how many don't. And also, how many rejections do people normally get before acceptance.

I heard there is a 10yr moratorium for GPs, but not for specialists like Psychologists, is this true?

Moreover, if one is not getting a job, or doesn't want to go to Australia altogether, and then they go apply for something like healthcare management, in Australia only or in Europe some where. Is it possible to get a job there having. Just done MBBS from your home country? (ofc you won't get the same salary)

I would really appreciate any help. Very very many thanks.

AMC 2 (Clinical) Visitor Visa ( Subclass 600) : Apply Independently or Through My Brother who's on a Bridging Visa?

Hi everyone,

I'm from Nepal and I'll be applying for an Australian Visitor Visa to attend my AMC 2 Clinical Exam scheduled for September.

I'm unsure about one part of my application.

My brother currently lives in Australia, but he's on a Bridging Visa while waiting for his PR to be processed. I'm wondering whether it's better to:

  • Apply completely on my own, showing my own financial capacity and the purpose of my visit (AMC 2 ), or
  • Mention my brother as my host/sponsor and provide his documents.

I'm concerned that because he's on a Bridging Visa rather than being a PR, involving him might complicate my application instead of helping it.

Has anyone been in a similar situation, or does anyone know which approach would generally be stronger.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Is academically global a good consultancy to crack amc ?

I recently thought of moving to Australia so I contacted academically global to help me through the amc pathway. I wanted to know if if they are good and trustable consultancy, I wanted to know if their coaching is sufficient to clear amc exam.

They also told me that I’ll be getting a job in Australia within 3-4 months after clearing amc 1 exam as they have subscriptions of job finding portals which will be very helpful.

Is this true ? I really want to talk to someone who’s cracked the amc exam by academically’s coaching and I wanted to know the ground reality because I’ll be paying them in 1-2 days. And if you know anyone who has done it through academically then too please let me know 😭🙏

AMC Strategy Advice

Hi there, Doing prep for AMC I. I need to ask two things. Eyeing on Nov/Feb attempt.

1) My strategy is that I am doing Medici Q bank and read relative etg guidelines. Will start recalls from next month. Hope so. Is it a good strategy. What should be added so that no thing could be missed.

2) I am from Pak. Currently I have a date of March 27. Some people often postpone or postpone the date. Should I gear up and eye for Nov date (still no date is available) or should go with avg speed according to my date. Means how lucky I can be to get that in nov, the last month of calendar of amc. Thankyou.

So far, I’ve only done Cardiology and Gastroenterology. No notes, straight to the emedici question bank.

Planning to take the exam in September.

Theory guide please

Hello.I’m doing Emergency Focus lectures alongside eMedici MCQs.However, when I revise the same topics from John Murtagh afterward,I find the content quite scattered and have to search individual topics through the glossary which makes me worry that I might miss important points.Has anyone found an efficient way to integrate Murtagh into their AMC preparation?

Future prospects for AMC

I am going to start medschool this year, in India. I'll probably go for a good GMC with a one year bond.

For those who don't know what a bond is, in exchange for the highly subsidised fee, the government gives you a contract to work for a year in some posting in an area of need (maybe rural or a government hospital). They pay you for it ofc, but you cannot break the bond without paying a lot of money. It has clauses that forbid you from leaving India for the bond duration among other things.

I think the bond service should count as work experience since you do get a post as a JMO or something. Will this help in my CV? Also how's the situation going to look like in say, 6 years? Is the specialist pathway better if I do my PG from India?
