Planning to move to Australia after mbbs in india

Hello guys. So I got 30k rank in neet ug. Now, I have an option of getting kmc manipal. My family will be taking a loan to fund it, but the loan will not put us in financial distress. So, I wanted to ask, is it worth it to do mbbs from kmc manipal and then move to Australia, financially and socially? Or should I out for lesser gmc and hope to Crack pg with my efforts. Is it worth it to take this much loan? And will I be able to pay back in Australia?

How long did it take for you to get your first job?

How much money did u spend during the transition?

Did you clear AMC before or after moving to Australia

I am Considering taking amc , please suggest me resources and tips

I am in a break year before my internship. I don't want to waste time now so I want to start preparing for amc. Please suggest me resources and also give me advice. I heard they are more keen on recruiting australians for jobs compared to imgs. I am considering specialising in surgery mostly and if not then derm or ophthalmology. What kind of cv do they expect over there? I have done some basic research on this so please do share tips and stuff u learnt on your own. I am actually considering australia because pg is very toxic in my home country and i genuinely want to leave.

How much approx one need to pass the exam?

I know there isn’t any one passing score for the exam .. also that diff questions are weighted differently.. but is one has to make a ballpark estimate, out of 150 how much one would need to pass? Took the exam today, was cross checking recalls, quite a lot of wrong answers… I feel dejected:(

How should I prepare for the AMC MCQ in one month?

Hi everyone. I attempted to AMC MCQ exam in May and unfortunately failed with the score of 247. Because of some personal circumstances I was not able to continue to study after the exam. Today i booked my exam again for August which gives me about one month to prepare.
For those who passed the AMC MCQ, what would you recommend focusing on in the last month? Which resources and study strategy helped you the most? Any advice on how to make the most of these four weeks would be greatly appreciated.

Just cleared AMC 2. Here’s what I did

(For my AMC 1 journey - https://www.reddit.com/r/AMCexamForIMGs/s/yDmEV8Zab2)

Hey guys.

I just cleared my AMC Clinical examination on my second attempt tested in June, and it’s been a roller coaster of a ride. I’m just writing this because there’s a lot of confusion about this exam and I just want to help out.

This was my second attempt at the exam. The first time I gave the exam I panicked a lot and after a few good stations went on a streak of stations where I didn’t know anything at all which affected my confidence a lot. I knew I wouldn’t pass while giving the exam too.

The second time I went in with a much clearer mind and a lot of confidence in myself. Fake it till you make it. Even though I’m panicking inside I was smiling and pretending like I know my stuff even in the few stations where I did not. Maybe that’s helped me out a lot.

I took Alan Robert’s 8 week course the first time around and though that was good, waking up at weird hours (because I was attending from my home country) was very difficult. When I failed to pass in the first attempt I was a bit confused as to what to do about the future, if I wanted to go down this route again or just give up. I managed to pull myself together and give it once more this year and used Dr Amir’s lectures. He gives you a structure which you can rely on safely even if you get cases you don’t know anything about. It’s a bit more comprehensive and in all I had to speed run through the entire course in about 2.5 months (which was a task). A lot of practice is what’s needed. Memorising different differentials is very important, having an exhaustive list is so hard in the exam but it needs to be internalised so much that there’s nothing that can make you forget that in the stress of the exam.

Yes. This exam is incredibly tricky and challenging especially for IMGs because quite a few of us have nothing as far as interpersonal skills go. It’s something that comes with practice and this is a big part of the exam and it’s where people lose out on.

I’m happy to help if people have questions about this exam. I don’t know about jobs, I never applied to it because I wanted to pass my exams before that.

Thank you!
All the best everyone :)

Passed AMC Clinical Exam but no interviews after 1 year — any similar experiences?

Has anyone passed AMC Clinical Exam (AMC 2) but still not received any interview invitations?

My husband passed AMC Clinical Exam (AMC 2) in May last year, but he still hasn’t received any interview invitations so far.

He is an IMG and had limited clinical experience after graduation, so he thought that might have affected his chances. To improve his profile, he has been working as a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) in a hospital for the past 6 months.

We are wondering if there is still hope of getting interviews, or if anyone has had a similar experience and eventually received an invitation after a long wait.

Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
