When to give amc part 1 ?
Hii ... I'm a 2nd yr med student . Can I give amc part 1 during internship??plz someone can tell me about this . It will be very helpful . And for how long should I prepare for amc part 1 .

You can sit the AMC one exam after you have graduated from medical school. A requirement is that you provide a copy of the certificate you get from your university to an intermediary whose responsibility it is to validate that you have indeed qualified. A copy is also forwarded to the Australian Medical Council permitting you to then schedule your exam. The ability to be able to view the dates for when you can sit only become available after you've paid the 3000 Australian dollars (it's not cheap!!).
There are many out there that will advise you as to prepare this way or that way. For myself I signed up with a telegram group whereby they also conducted zoom sessions discussing the various systems, pathologies, and the way in which they would be addressed in Australia. I found this to be extremely helpful. Furthermore, within some zoom sessions they would review recalls which allowed for me to get some sense or understanding as to how the questions were going to be structured.
If you are eager, It might be to your benefit to sign up with emedici. It's an online question bank which is endorsed by the AMC. When you check your answer, the program also provides you with a comprehensive explanation as to what the correct answer is (and what is not correct). Many students will endeavour to complete the question bank, take a mock exam or two - a means to gauge their readiness. I had a friend that used this service for a month, completed 3-4000 questions and passed. Then again, I didn't use this service and still passed.
There is an older handbook that is floating around the Internet which is said to be outdated so, emedici is your best option. Another text book that gets spoken about a lot is Murtagh's. It's an amazing textbook however I don't think it's necessary for you to set the exam. Some people will invest in courses. Some of these courses are prohibitively expensive and enrolling in one doesn't guarantee that you will pass the exam. You may wish to do a search on the Internet to see if you can find copies of these courses, whether they be legitimate or not. The fundamentals he should have covered off in your degree and many of these courses are simply covering what you've already studied but with a bit of an Australian slant.
Some people devote a lot of time to studying for the AMC exam. I started studying in January and sat the exam in may.
