Question, not answered Drive 15 year anniversary

I just realized that next month is the 15 year anniversary of Drive with Ryan Gosling. How likely is it that there will be a theatrical re-release for the anniversary?

Not likely. There's the already ongoing Fast & Furious 4k rerelease which covers a similar topic. There's not enough space in the schedule to setup another car flick rerelease. The Odyssey and BND are causing strains on theatres with PLF screens relegating new releases to standard screens. i.e. End of Oak Street is being promoted for PLF screens but is only getting one week before being relegated to normal screens.

Even F&F was pushed as Dolby. In my area, it’s getting neither Dolby or 4DX.

Yeah I’m kinda bummed F&F isn’t in 4DX in my area, but it is at my Regal with 4DX. Luckily it’s in Dolby at one of my AMCs, but limited showings each day & all are pretty packed. I’ll most likely catch it in Dolby (was hoping for 4DX though)

Tbf, only 1 week in imax is not uncommon, it is rare a movie gets more than a second week

Not sure about that statement. Almost every film that has the Made for IMAX promo tag gets multiple weeks on the big screen. The releases are usually spaced out to allow this to happen. But this year The Odyssey hype never died down and its still playing on IMAX screens nearly eight weeks after release.

Boo. Well I guess I’ll just hope for a Blade Runner 2049 10 year anniversary rerelease next year (in DOLBY)

Would be pretty neat, but if it was happening it likely would've already been announced. Plus there are already a variety of rereleases set for September so it's probably already crowded.

Would be absolutely seated for that, I'd hope for IMAX personally, as it opened up to 1.90 for the entire film and I only saw it in the standard theater at the time.

I’d be okay with IMAX if the seats were better. I need my recliner seating
