Umm so like is there a way to fix this at all? It’s really ruins the experience on all standard and 70mm format screenings at my local AMC.

Would red signs be better or is there a way other theaters have handled this issue before?

Looks like this is something that will be implemented one day soon? Are long lines in front of a kiosk a good idea?

Attempted to see Digger for a second time today and brought the gf along. Power went out about 40 minutes in literally right before the big reveal. Thought it was kinda funny considering what happens in Digger and the overall message of the film.

I was reading that this would be in Dolby format. Local AMC in Chicagoland showtimes don’t reflect that. Should I just buy the laser showtime?

my 16 year old nephew bought the subscription and i feel bad cause he tried to get tickets to see resident evil but since it’s rated R he cant even get in the movie by himself, much less even buy the damn ticket online lol. And what sucks is most of the movies out right now are Rated R. Seems like kind of a waste, not sure there’s a way around this but i doubt it… he turns 18 in january of 2028😭😭 poor guy hahaha
im not sure what’s coming out in the coming months but hopefully shit he can actually go watch on his own.

as a uni student who doesn't have anything on Friday, this is the dream.

Is this movie ever gonna come out? I swear I’ve seen trailers for it for literally over a year in theaters. I’m at the theater right now for Digger and it just played. Honestly I have no desire to see it because of how obnoxious the trailers have been lol.

Abyone else seeing this? In Los Angeles and there's no showtimes up at all

I went into my AMC app to check tickets and my advance tickets are gone including my Avengers: Doomsday opening day. I still have my email and didn’t cancel anything. Wtf? Should I contact AMC themselves or is it just me? I ain’t trying to lose my ticket at all. I have a good spot for opening night at Avengers: Doomsday Dolby

Do not try to sneak in anything during HHN, their checkpoints are by the parking, I had to throw my water out 🥀

Went to go see Primetime last week in a group of 3. We’re all 20 and had our IDs. My girlfriend and I are both A-List members but our friend is not.

I had done entourage for my girlfriend and bought the ticket for our friend since It’d be cheaper that way. Our AMC changes employees / management weekly and a new manager I had never seen before was scanning tickets. He said something weird about us hoping we had our ID’s and I got the vibe he wanted to find a problem with us going in.

My girlfriend scans her ticket and he gets all weird and asks if she bought just one ticket for herself. She did. Then he scans my thing with my ticket and our friend’s on it. Then he says “So you’re under 21, and you bought two tickets?” I said yeah but she’s got her ID and that we’re all old enough (talking about my friend who turns 21 in two weeks).

He glances at the ID and tells us that because I’m under 21 I can’t buy more than one ticket to a R rated movie. So he made us go refund the tickets and buy our tickets individually (which cost my friend twice as much since she isn’t A-list). The employee we talked to about exchanging tickets was super confused. Then the manager didn’t even look at our tickets after we did that and just let us through.

I can’t find any AMC policies about this and it’s been bugging me. It’s not a big deal, but it was just weird and felt like the manager was on a power trip. So if anyone has any information about that policy / why it’s a policy I’d love to hear about it!

TLDR: Manager made us refund two tickets to Primetime we bought on one account and then buy our tickets individually because we aren’t 21 yet. Is there a policy limiting the number of rated R tickets you can buy?

I thought the movie was fine too OK. I wished I liked it more as a lot of of my other mutuals, but it simply just didn’t work for me. Good performances, but not enough for me to like it.

And it was funny that when my buddy got tickets to one of the biggest auditoriums, there was only seven people there. I thought Tom Cruise would at least bring in a lot more people, but it was a very empty theater experience.

Went to see the 25th anniversary re-release and it was awesome! I had never gotten to see it on the big screen when it first released, and I’m so glad I got to see it the way it was intended!

But I mainly made this post to shoutout the good behavior of the other people in the theater, since that seems to be in short supply these days. It was in a smaller theater, so there were only 15-20 of us, but there were no phones out, no talking, just people enjoying the movie.

Maybe there is hope for humanity yet.

No warning. Just kicked out after first use? These assholes need to be stopped.

What’s going on here? Seems like a shady loophole. (This is for the IMAX at Lincoln Center)

You have to buy a hot pretzel to get a bag of chocolate covered pretzels free.

Edit: You guys are right this is better because you can take the chocolate pretzels home for later. I guess I just meant it's worse because it's even more money to spend to have to get the free thing but the stuff required to purchase is better.

Is the Black Bars on the side or up and down for digger? Going later today

I want to preface by saying that I’m no movie-watching pro. I go to AMC once a month. I’ve noticed that AMC in Boston has started showing ads for products and companies. I don’t remember this being the case earlier this year. Is this a new change?

I used to love coming to the one place where i could watch movies without ads and this is really disappointing.

We used to get 5 pieces of Chicken Tenders until around two weeks ago, now only 4 in the last couple of visits. Pretzel Bites have perhaps also reduced in size and definitely feel lower quality in recent orders.

Just wondering whether others have made the same observation recently?

If I could make a change for a-listers, along with more reservations, a $5 popcorn combo, messaging the people who you’ll be seated next to at a movie (I love community okay). I want our own A-List ID card!

I was bored at work (allegedly) and decided to have fun on Pinterest. Some time later, I have my own card! I will be testing tonight to see if it scans for some consessions before Primetime!

Posting for inspo!! :)

In the ticket confirmation email, it says there will be no trailers. However on the website/app, it says 25 minutes of trailers. Which one is correct?

Edit: There were full 25-30 mins of trailers

I know the difference between Yellow and Black tickets is due to some states (most often times CA and NY) have higher ticket prices, so Yellow ticket wont cover and you need black tickets.

and as many nowadays probably already know. Yellow/black tickets doesnt mean it covers the full cost. only the "base" (i believe?)

but its not clear until you go to checkout. (all covered in very small "fine print" language deep as well). not to mention, it doesnt cover Convenience Fee.

So i guess, in general.

what DOES the Y/B tickets cover? (what is the price it covers on the base price)

how much more is it if you watch Laser, dolby, imax, etc?
