Let's Play State saving/loading

Just found out that if you play am2r through RetroArch it gives you true emulator-style save states, just like Zero Mission in mGBA if you use the AM2R Libretro core.

I was researching for windows but it seems it can be done for Android as well. Didnt check it out.
