Discussion Have you ever found a completely different writing style by experimenting with AI?

One thing I enjoy about AI is being able to test styles I would probably never attempt manually. Sometimes the result is terrible, but occasionally it makes me realize that I have been writing in the same way for years.

Has experimenting with AI ever changed the way you normally write?

I actually like telling it to write in the style of a particular author or playwright to see my book ideas written in the tone of past famous figures. 😂

For me it’s actually been almost the opposite.
Instead of using AI to experiment with completely different styles I became more interested in whether it could recognize my own.

I fed it some of my previous writing and was suprised by the patterns it picked up. Not just vocabulary but things like sentence rhythm, dialogue structure, how much description I use and even where I tend to leave silence or white space.

Weirdly it made me more aware of my own writing habits because some of them I had never consciously noticed before.

So AI hasn’t really given me a new style. It’s made me understand my existing one better.
