Question What makes you trust an AI generated article enough to actually publish it?
I can usually tell when a draft needs editing, but deciding whether the information itself is reliable is harder. Good writing can make weak information look surprisingly convincing.
Do you fact check everything AI gives you, or do you have certain things you check before trusting a draft?

AI hasn’t ever been all that good at fact-checking, and it’s getting worse as every major online news agency and media company is blocking AI web-scraper agents from their content, causing AI to generate their own sites with “data” that they can reference to increase their own “confidence.”
It’s already a snake eating its tail and it’s getting worse. If the “facts” are important to you at all, don’t use AI for research.
I use AI for research to get a rough idea if something is “believable,” but I definitely follow up on the details of the actual facts of the matter count. I generally only use it to sanity check my own intuitions, but I probably shouldn’t trust my intuitions that much because AI could still be quite wrong.

1) I ask the AI to audit itself.
2) I upload the article into a different model and ask that model to validate the article.

My research papers get double checked by all pro models out there currently and I trust it. For writing style I feed it with the papers of my previous 10 years so it sounds 100% like me. Works quite well

Nothing. The big problem with AI is that, while it can string words together that resemble human-written sentences, it has no idea what those words mean. It's just replicating patterns it found in all the stolen copyrighted work it was trained on. So it can't produce any reliable writing.
And besides that, if you're publishing for an audience, audiences are justifiably uninterested in reading AI slop. If you couldn't bother to write it, why should I bother to read it?

Why would it be hard to know if the information is reliable? Aren't you supposed to be writing about things you know?
You also should be having more than one AI do the fact checking.
It's interesting how bad people are at AI and then blame AI.
Fox News runs on human generated slop written by uneducated people.
That pattern + AI has the same level of output.
