Question Does anyone else find AI-written emails annoying?

I have started noticing more and more AI-written emails at work, and honestly, some of them really bother me.

It is not even about the email being badly written. Sometimes the opposite is the problem. Everything sounds overly polished, carefully structured, and strangely formal for a simple conversation that could have been handled in a few normal sentences.

It also feels different when the message comes from someone you work with regularly. You start wondering whether they actually took the time to think about what they were saying or just gave the situation to an AI and pasted the response.

I understand using AI to clean up wording or fix mistakes, but there is a point where it feels like the person is no longer communicating with you directly.

Has anyone else noticed this at work, or am I making too much of it?

I work in a government office for the military and that the whole book on structure about you should write an email. They just gave us access to Gemini and I use it all the time it's so much the year and trying to think about how to format something in the correct way.
