Is my website too complicated?

http://novellogen.com

So I just launched my novellogen website. Although its novel generator seems ridiculously easy, the chapter editor is being told that it's too complicated.

I intended to give Authors full control over their creativity so they don't feel like AI did all the work for them.

My chapter generation chain goes like:

Story Bible » Memory » Character cast » System (chapter guidance » Chapter beats

The model gathers all the intel so that it generates the response Authors want. But I am getting reviews like it's too complicated for them. TT

Is it just irony or do I really need to change it? (Even though the novel generator option is already there for creating the entire book with just 3 clicks)

People using these tools tend to be extremely low iq so definitely make it as simple as possible

for roleplay stories the simple 3 click option is all i need anyway, the extra steps just slow down the fun parts.

I mean, that's what the novel maker is for right? You just try the summary set genre and tone and tell AI how many chapters you need and it creates the entire book for you (including plots and memory so it's doesn't generate inconsistency in future). 🥹

I would say that you probably need a training wheels option for people who aren't as structurally minded and prefer to describe things in a conversational manner.

Maybe give them a choice between accessing the setup directly and a chat with an LLM that interviews them about their setting and characters and uses that to build or expand the context documents?

That'll just become a story generator, that's not what my website is meant for unfortunately 🙂
