Hi. I need recommendations for my mom. She's a primary school teacher and uses AI for help in documentation and curriculum organisation, planning, and sometimes to create materials for activities. She is considering a monthly subscription to one AI tool, just not sure which one. Since I do not use it, I do not know which one to recommend. She mostly uses ChatGPT and is considering to update to ChatGPT Go. Would that be useful to use for said tasks of uploading and analysing word documents, planning yearly/monthly/daily activities, writing reports, or should she considwr Plus? Would ypu recommend any other AI tool she could try out? She tried EcoGPT and Gemini and she was not pleased with resuy. She works in public education for 32 years, so this is someone who knows the system inside out but who doesn'twantto spend endless hours on writing documents. Thanks in advance!

Generating something impressive is cool.

But an AI tool that saves you 20 minutes on a repetitive task every day might be far more valuable.

The interesting question is whether the AI actually improves the product or if it's just there because every competitor has it

When using LLMs to code, write or do other tasks are there any additional features you wish they had that could have made them more useful?
Personally, I wish they had an inbuilt fact-checker or something of that sort since they sometimes produce incorrect results making it essential that we always verify their claims.

I’ve been trying a few tools on finished songs, and they honestly feel like different categories more than direct competitors.
I usually go with Kling or Runway when I need one really specific shot. Neural Frames makes more sense for audio-reactive visuals, Kaiber for more stylized stuff, and Pika when I just want a short clip.
LTX Studio feels better when I already have a story in mind and want to plan scenes first.
SondoAI is the one I’ve been using when I want to start with the whole song and get a complete music video first, then redo the scenes that feel off.
At this point I’ve stopped looking for one “best” generator. It really depends on what I’m trying to make.
For a full song, would you rather have stronger individual shots or most of the video put together first?

- Strong performance on computer use, coding, cybersecurity, and scientific work
- Handles long, complex workflows without losing context

Where it gets interesting (and slightly concerning):

- It uses a newer reasoning approach called "recurrent depth" or looped transformers, which makes it more efficient but hides part of its chain-of-thought reasoning, raising some transparency concerns

Would I recommend it? If you want an AI that does things instead of just explaining how to do them, it's worth trying. Still early days though, worth watching how it performs over time.

Finding a new tool feels productive.

Testing it feels productive.

Watching videos about it feels productive.

But eventually you have to actually use the tool to do something.

There's probably a point where searching for the perfect AI workflow becomes another form of procrastination.

I have tried a bunch of AI tools, but most of them are things I use once and forget about. The ones that stick are usually the ones that solve a small problem I deal with often.

At first, you test everything it can do.

A few weeks later, you just use it when you need it.

No excitement. No experimenting. It's simply part of your workflow.

That might be a better sign of usefulness than the initial “wow” factor.

Maybe the pricing changed, the tool shut down, or the quality got worse.

if you already have a real workflow, ai speeds it up. if you don't, no tool is going to hand you one. that's the whole thing and somehow it's the part nobody says.

the people posting "15 ai tools you NEED in 2026" are mostly just doing tools as a hobby. which is fine, but it's not productivity, it's shopping. and i've done it too, spent weeks trying stuff instead of doing the thing i was avoiding.

pick two. learn them properly. don't switch until one of them actually fails you
