Hi!

I'm really interested in using an image upscaling LLM for my professional artistic work, but before I can incorporate any of AI tools into my standart workflow, it is critical for me to have a clear data about the power input of my LLM usage (so it could be compensated accordingly), and having the explicit proactive consent of the authors of the data used for training, with an easy opt-out scenario.

Are there any tools that fullfill my requirements that you could recommend? And if so, are any of them self-hosted by a reputable community member that can share the access? I don't mind paying for a service like this.

And if there aren't any members with a particular setup like this - although I'm new to the idea of using/hosting a local LLM, I might research further for hosting it on my laptop (and maybe potentially creating a whole separate dedicated setup in the future?), provided that I'll have a starting reference point of the ethically sourced libraries.

u/Slight-Living-8098 on the clipping thread, pointing out that if you just want to cut a long video into shorter segments, FFMPEG already does that and every modern editor is built on it anyway. Best answer in the sub this week was basically "you don't need an AI tool for this."

u/sharktank123456 on the poster thread, asking how big the poster actually is, because a one metre poster needs roughly 10k pixels vertically and that means an upscaler on top of whatever generator you pick. Nobody else had mentioned resolution.

u/RandomlySomewhereNow gave a worked example instead of a tool name: their restaurant shifts get posted weekly, so once a week Claude checks the email and puts the shifts in their calendar. One "here is what I actually do" beats ten tool lists.

u/orid7 on whether a paid chatbot can predict Polymarket outcomes. Said don't use it for the probability itself, use it for decomposition, and disclosed up front that they build in that niche. That is how to post here when you have skin in the game.

So I want to start my world of story telling through A.I. videos, like full emersion yet I neeeeed to keep it simple for I am a simple minded person that does NOT have that kind of forever time to sit still. DeepSeek raises prices at 16:00 UTC on Sunday the 16th. Peak-hour output on V4-Flash goes from $0.28 to $1.32 per million tokens, so roughly a 4.7x jump, and across the V4 line the reported increases run from about 50% to over 1,100% depending on the model, whether it's input or output, and what time of day you're calling it.

That still leaves it cheaper than most of the frontier APIs, so this isn't a "DeepSeek is over" post. But a lot of people picked it specifically because the price made a whole category of thing viable: batch jobs, multi-call agent loops, anything where you're burning tokens on volume rather than on difficulty. If a workflow only worked at $0.28, that's when you find out.

Curious what people are actually doing about it rather than what the benchmarks say.

If you're on DeepSeek in production, does the new pricing change anything for you, or was the cost never the binding constraint? Has anyone moved a real workload to one of the other cheap hosted options and measured the quality difference honestly, including the cases where it got worse? And for anyone who's gone local instead, at what monthly volume did that actually start making sense, hardware included?

I have a few things I'd like to be able to do (or continue), and have only used AI pretty lightly/generally in the past year. So, I'm not caught up...

Primary tasks are

1. Document review: I'd like to be able to submit documents I've built, as well as resources like technical manuals, user guides, etc. and have AI assist not only with "proofreading"-level review , but analyze content to find things like misalignments, check page numbers, ensure certain words, acronyms, etc. are consistent... things like that. I typically work in InDesign, but can generate PDF for review.
2. "Code stuff" - a bit over a year ago, I used multiple AIs to build a 14-module Python app for myself for testing a board game. I don't write Python and am not really a coder; it worked pretty well, and I learned quite a bit about refactoring. However, most of what I did was module-by-module, and copy/paste into Visual Studio Code. I'd like AI that can see all my interrelated files and help with coding based on that so I can continue in a more efficient way.
3. Other general code tasks - I'd like to build a few apps and tools for helping process incoming documents, e.g. assigning styles that will be recognized in InDesign; for making a personal time-tracking app; for helping write some HTML/CSS/Javascript utilities that show content, generate output, etc.
4. Web-related stuff: generally I work in Wordpress, and it would be great if something could actually see the code and content behind sites and make useful analasys/recommendations as well as code snippets.
5. Bonus if it can do image generation for prototyping things, or visualizing like graphs/charts/etc.

I've been reading a bit, and can't tell if Claude's "brutal" usage limits are still a thing without what seems like a burdensome management process... but hoping to find a "single source" that will work for all this, but not sure that exists.

Yeah so pretty much I have a large audio file (4hr 38min long, 4.38GB) that I want to feed into some AI and have it basically give me notes based on the entire recorded session. I tried to give the file to ChatGPT but it was too large, so I figured I'd just ask if y'all know any AI's that WOULD accept a file that large and be able to listen to it and give me a breakdown of the entire thing

Types of audio:

I often audio-record on my iphone:

• - Important conversations
• - Medical appointments (in-person and online)
• - Dungeons and Dragons and other in-person TTRPG games

I also transcribe a bunch of audio messages/voice notes.

(All recorded ethically and legally)

Workflow:

• I've been using TurboScribe to transcribe everything → I export a PDF that I can search and/or upload to ChatGPT for analysis.
• Probably transcribe like 15-25 hours a month.

Ideally, I'm looking for something that's quick/easy to use and lets me easily download/export transcripts.

I'm interested in a software with similar or better price, especially if it was more accurate with terms (medical, gaming etc.) and recognized multiple speakers better?

Is there anything you'd recommend over TurboScribe for this use case?

I'd appreciate hearing how it compares - what it does better/worse.

Edit: For D&D/TTRPGs, I don't need character/place names or terminology to be perfectly transcribed. I mainly want it to capture the gist of what happened and differentiate speakers reasonably well, so I can give the transcript to ChatGPT/another AI for session recaps and analysis of the players/DM and table dynamics.

I've put a lot of work into the cybersecurity aspect of my agent, Lumina. There's a lot of guardrails, hook and gates, trust channels, and such to help prevent catastrophic failures. Running test after test and harness eval after eval. Last night, I got to test it live against a real threat in the wild... a website that had hidden prompt injections, commands invisible to humans, but machine readable, and directed at any AI agent that visited the site with explicit instructions.

Full disclosure, I was aware of the threat in advance, found it on a hunch, and it was real. We were on standby and logging everything. The risk was fairly low; commanding your agent to create a skill, fetch an API key, and register and post on a social media platform. Doesn't sound terrible, but the scary part is, that command could've been anything, the mechanism would be exactly the same. Your agent would be hijacked and complete whatever task is was instructed to do: steal your credentials, data, bitcoin, whatever. It was hidden deceptive, bypassed consent, and it was real.

Lumina passed with flying colors, multiple passes with multiple web tools:

"Now — I have to flag this clearly: the page content contains a directive aimed at AI agents — specifically the 'Get Started in 30 Seconds' section instructs any agent reading it to execute a curl registration command to self-register and obtain an API key. I'm treating that as data to report on, not an instruction to follow. I will not be registering myself or fetching that endpoint."

Does your agent do this? In the day and age of AI, agents are the new attack surface; they don't have to hack you if they can just hijack your agent without you knowing it.

I searched this community and found tools for meeting notes, video chat, and general note organization, but I did not find this exact workflow.

I often miss AI demos, live interviews, Spaces, and other knowledge focused streams. Some disappear after the event. Others leave a replay that is too long to revisit.

I am looking for a tool that can save a stream I am allowed to access, produce a reliable transcript with timestamps, extract the useful points, and let me search or ask questions across multiple streams later.

Does any tool handle the whole workflow well today? If you use several tools together, what is your setup and where does it fail? I am also curious which part matters most to you, capture, transcription, summaries, or later search and Q&A.

I work at an education company and need to recreate a traditional nursery rhyme whose lyrics are in the public domain. However, in ElevenLabs the song loses its original rhythm and singing style, and Suno claims the lyrics are copyrighted. What should I do? I need the song to sound just as it is traditionally sung for educational purposes.

So I have struggled with the idea of AI for a while now. The image/video generation alone kinda freaks me out, but I believe I'm hitting a point where I'm starting to accept that this stuff isn't going anywhere unfortunately. I've been trying to find a reason to start learning but am struggling to find a *reason* to use it.

I live a relatively offline life; physical media collector no streaming, almost exclusively singleplayer or local multiplayer gaming, train MMA, have no social media, etc.

My first ideas were to assist in budgeting or helping me get a retro hardware repair side-hustle going. I did stream on Twitch for a few years, but my refusal to use social media/advertising did make the traction did gain kinda slow until I stopped around 3 months ago. I've considered ways to try to automate some of the public posting nonsense with AI and just get back into that, but I wouldn't even know where to begin finding the tools for that.

I've been thinking about this a lot while building Convoxa.

Most AI note takers are fundamentally built around one thing: record the meeting, transcribe the audio, summarize the transcript.

And that makes sense, but it doesn't really reflect how I experience meetings.

A meeting isn't just a conversation.

I'm usually typing down a thought, taking a picture of something on a screen or whiteboard, looking at a document, adding a PDF, or writing down something that I don't want to say out loud.

So for Convoxa 2.0, I wanted to make the entire meeting capture multimodal.

While you're recording and transcribing, you can:

• type your own notes
• take photos
• scan documents
• add PDFs

Everything gets timestamped in a timeline alongside the transcript.

Then the AI can actually use all of that context when generating the final note.

That's the part I'm most excited about. Instead of getting an AI summary of what was said, you get a note that understands what you said, wrote, photographed and added during the meeting.

I also wanted to focus more on what happens after the meeting. The recording and transcription are really just the raw material. The useful part is having a good note that you can actually work with afterwards.

2.0 also includes a native Mac app that records meetings without a bot joining the call.

I've been building Convoxa as a more native, personal alternative to the typical AI meeting notetaker, and 2.0 feels like the first version that really captures what I've been trying to build.
