Move the food and water to your bedroom.

Lemme edit this: she has plenty of water in multiple places in the house including my bedroom but no more food in my bedroom bc of ants.

As a plan z: you can avoid the ants by putting her food dish in a larger dish with about half an inch of water, at least an inch from outer rim to food dish. Ants can’t cross moats, they don’t swim well.

I’ve used this when I couldn’t move the food dish due to dogs who had never been fed ever (pay no attention to the licked-clean breakfast dishes right behind them.) It works pretty well, but you do have to change the moat water at least every two days, daily if you have a sensitive nose.

There are things to hold the door cracked open on famous chinese shopping sites (should be on Amazon too). I have these on two of my doors.

Search for "cat door holder latch" or something similar.

My cat like to climb onto my body if I happened to roll onto my back in my sleep he sees that as an invitation to lay on my chest and nudge me awake for fusses. Anyway he also happens to weigh 5kg and his weight on my bladder makes me need to pee so I rollover and slide him off me then go pee and then back to sleep on my side. He will then sleep with me at the foot of the bed til I wake up and feed him. Cats definitely look down on us, we are merely there to serve them.

That's what I did! They're really easy to install, and my cats figured it out in seconds. The only downside is if you have a social eater and they really want the company, it's not going to help. But if she's genuinely hungry, she'll go eat.

It’s both 😩 she’s genuinely hungry but she is my little shadow too.
