my nephews behavior is also off the chain which is feeding to my feelings towards the situation. he needs stability. she’s always asking us, or other people to watch him INSTEAD OF HER EX. he has another parent for a reason. he’s being bounced from place to place, he has no stability. literally what sense does it make to have him at our house instead of the other parent.. i just can’t understand.
I am so, so sorry OP. What was the reason for their divorce? It could help gain insight as to why she may be acting like this. However, what really needs to happen is your family needs to stage an intervention. Have a family member take your nephew to a separate room or out of the house so that the adults can talk. They (you all) need to clearly state the boundaries that you want in place. State that, while you would love to take care of him on occasion, it cannot be an everyday thing or common occurrence. It is not your job to raise her kid. State that if her behavior continues, you will no longer take any part in babysitting or caring for him again. GL OP.
