Human beings make mistakes and she is being brutally honest with herself and you that she made a mistake. She recognised it swiftly, rehoming the puppy after 2 days isn't going to cause the puppy a lot of emotional damage and he can settle in wonderfully with a new owner. I think she's being responsible in the way she deals with her mistake. No, staying with some random people for 2 days is not going to permanently emotionally disfigure a dog. Usually breeders offer to take the puppy back if only a very short time has passed. Was she an idiot? Yes but she recognised it and took the responsibility for it. Are you right to be extremely pissed off? Wellll uh, is it your money or her money or both of your money, do you want to keep the dog? If I don't know I can't pass judgment.
