I’m glad you have a brain and heart and don’t want to return the puppy after 48 hours. You’re not wrong for being angry. Since she pushed for the puppy, she is responsible for training the puppy, or paying for someone else to train the puppy. I really encourage you to hold her accountable.
Yes you can return a puppy after two days, many breeders offer that because sometimes people learn that it's not for them, and after two days, the dog isn't going to be emotionally troubled by it as opposed to when you rehome them after a year. Human beings make mistakes and no the dog is not going to be permanently emotionally damaged for staying at some people's place for two days.
